What's better than studying 100 spanish flashcards? Making a Hott Mix II and writing a livejournal about it. David Bowie's "Let's Dance" sounds appropriate for Track 01. And oh yes, there will be Earth Wind & Fire. If I were older and blacker, Earth Wind & Fire's "September" would totally be my jam. But I'm a white girl, so I can't really get away with saying "Ah hell yeah, September's my jaaaaam." So I need to contain that inner 45-year old black woman.

But anyways, the deal with this Spanish exam tomorrow. I'm still bitter from the last one. I didn't use ser and estar properly in the last one and all of the ser and estar mistakes essentially dropped my exam grade from an A to a C+. So know I'm listening to Stevie Wonder sing a song in Spanish, and to me, that counts as studying. Eat that Senor Jose Diaz-Perez. Ay chai chai chai. (Yes, he does say ay chai chai chai often).

So I know what you're thinking- Kentucky lost tonight, aren't you upset? Yes I am upset that we lost to a bunch of white balding dudes from Iowa, more embarassed than upset, but still pissed. Unfortunately, it's just a bad sign that it might be a really really long year for UK basketball. The worst part is that Iowa fans have pretty much chalked up the year as a success, and are probably rioting right now in their cornfields, because they beat UK. I blame Kelena Azubuike and Randolph Morris for all of UK's misfortunes. I hate those bastards. And I apologize to any Iowa fans I've offended. I would never insist that you are bald and/or white, just your players.

This Hott Mix II has taken a direction I didn't see coming. I just downloaded some Chaka Khan and Player's "Baby Come Back." This mix might not be the most credible, but damnit, it will be catchy. I also downloaded "Summer Breeze" because it makes me laugh..... Ten minutes later, however, I regret spending 99 cents on Summer Breeze. Damn.

I am currently downloading "Try" by John Mayer Trio. But didn't you already pre-order it? Yes I did. I can't wait until I get my copy in the mail, I need that CD now.

Hott Mix II:
1. David Bowie- Let's Dance
2. Albert King- Crosscut Saw
3. The Meters- Cissy Strut (Just because JM3 played it in Nashville)
4. Stevie Wonder- Summer Soft
5. Derek & The Dominoes- Layla
6. John Mayer & John Scofield- I Don't Need No Doctor
7. Marvin Gaye- Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)
8. Eric Clapton- Hello Old Friend
9. John Mayer & Herbie Hancock- Stitched Up
10. Otis Redding- Remember Me
11. Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble- Love Struck Baby
12. Cream- I Feel Free
13. The Miracles- Love Machine (Shout out to Heavy Weights)
14. Jamiroquai- Cosmic Girl (What, Jamiroquai? Yes that's right.... Jamiroquai)
15. Earth, Wind & Fire- Boogie Wonderland
16. David Bowie- Fashion
17. Earth, Wind & Fire- September
18. Player- Baby Come Back
19. Chic- Le Freak (Flashback- Someone gets something special in high school. let's say someone gets flowers for Valentines Day in class, everyone collectively says 'aaaawwwwwww.....' then someone inevitably yells 'freak out!' at the end)
20. Rufus & Chaka Khan- Tell Me Something Good

Now that's a damn fine mix if you ask me. I think Hott Mix II makes up for me actually buying "Summer Breeze."

So I have Missy Elliot in my music library b/c I imported all of Sarah's songs when my computer broke before I imported all of my CD's. Rapping in general is just funny to me. For instance, "Listen up mother fuckers, you have five seconds to catch your breath, 5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1.. (as the beat comes rolling back) pop that pop that make that money, just keep it going like the energizer bunny, shake that shake that move it all around, (after some other clever rhymes) my voice is lost, can i get a ride on a white horse, hooty hooooo, come on pass the dutch baby shake shake shake your stuff baby, hooty hooooo, patch the dutch baby, (after some banging on pots and pans), jiggle that fat." I won't get into her song "Let Me Fix That Weave." And just so everyone knows, there are about seven distinct rap dances that Alex, Rachel, maybe Megan and I decided on a while ago. We would know this because we're in a rap group called the 859 Girlz. The lyrics to our hit basically just goes like this- "where's my nine where's my nine where's my nine, where's my bitches where's my bitches where's my bitches, got my rims got my rims got my rims, roll my weed roll my weed roll my weed (and some other very vulgar lyrics)." We then basically start freestyling off the ideas of the chorus, you know, bitches, guns, rims and weed- the basis for all bad rap songs. I'm also in the band KRAM. We cut our first album about two and a half years ago.

I should really study now. I'm so irresponsible. I'm not spell checking because I'm gangsta.
