FOOL
Went to FOOl this weekend. I'd booked it with Medb a while back. At first I didn't think I wanted to go, as there seems to be a million other things I should be doing, helping my mom pack for one, seeing freinds for another, anyway, I'm glad I went. It was held at a scout camp in Acton, the site was beautiful, and a lot of work was put into the look of the place. We arrived late at night, unpacked, got to stay in a cabin which was so nice, then headed next door to the mess hall/tarvern. It was unbelievable in there.. all light by candles and lanterns, everything being served in steins and wooden/pottery bowls, dark but friendly, lots of noise, and some well known SCA musicians playing for the crowd. I think my fav thing from the tavern menues was simply "a hunk of cheese and a piece of goode breade" No spelling mistakes there.
