lol
I've seen so many people do this one I just had to jump on the bandwagon!
Should provide some lulz
The one who seduced you and fucked you over and broke your heart in a million pieces and laughed about it:
- *sheep* Harry Potter. I had such high hopes, especially after the sixth book. But Book Seven was like a slap to the face. I could care less about the shipping, but the plot, and her writing style took a 180. It was like "WTF?". (I mean, KILLING Remus and Tonks? Mad Eye? HEDWIG? Jo....;^;) While what happened in the Epilogue didn't bother me, the way it was written reeked of a high schooler's fanfic. It just...wasn't a good experience. Glad it's over.
The old flame you don't see very often any more but whom you still really enjoy getting together with for a few drinks and maybe a pleasant nostalgic romp in the sheets:
- "Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna" Eyes/Kanone pairing. It's still my most adored pairing with my two favorite characters in anime history. They just had so much chemistry together. (Then the manga had to fuck it up...) Every so often I'll pick up the manga or a DVD, or browse for fanart, just to get the warm fuzzy feeling again.
The mysterious dark gothy one with whom you used to sit up talking until 3 a.m. at weird coffeehouses and with whom you were quite smitten until you realized he really was fucking crazy:
- Sonic: The Hedgehog. Love the games, loved the cartoons. But the fandom is batshit. What isn't made up of creepy yiffing furries, are those who argue about games VS cartoons. Too much drama. Just...no. (Though I still draw and write for it on occasion. I like Sonic Adventure canon best. Rouge is my favorite. )
The one you spent a whole weekend in bed with and who drank up all your liquor, and whom you'd still really like to fuck again although you're relieved he doesn't actually live in town:
- Fruits Basket. What there is of the fandom is very weird. There are those who follow the anime, while there are others who are following only the US translation of the manga. Since the manga is finished in Japan and most of the fandom likes to be unspoiled, it makes participating in the fandom difficult. I used to dabble in art and fic and roleplays, but now I just enjoy it from afar.
The steady:
-Avatar: The Last Airbender. This one will still stick, even after the finale airs. I know I won't be as obsessive over it by the end of the summer, I'll still get excited whenever new stuff for it comes out. (Like the LiveAction movie and the TV movies.) I like my place in this fandom. I'm away from the crazy shippers because I don't care. And the crackheads are the greatest. It's actually a nifty fandom if you can get past the dumbshits who only care about the romance.
The ex:
-FullMetal Alchemist. I was once very into that fandom, but not so much anymore. Most of it kind of imploded itself. Too much spazzflail at once and it all kind of killed itself after the release of the movie. I don't care what anyone says, the manga's pretty boring and needs to end soon.
The alluring stranger whom you've flirted with at parties but have never gotten really serious with:
- House MD. I watch the show religiously but I don't have the urge to involve myself with the fandom. Capslock_House is lulz though.
The one you hang out with and have vague fantasies about maybe having a thing with but ultimately you're just good buddies 'cause the friendship is there but the chemistry ain't:
-Naruto, Death Note, and D.Gray-Man. Love the shows, love the fanstuff. But I don't like getting involved.
The one your friends keep introducing you to and who seems like a hell of a cool guy except it's never really gone anywhere:
-Ace Attorney/Phoenix Wright. The games are fun, but the fandom itself doesn't appeal to me. I don't get fuzzies when looking at fanstuff the way I do with other things. It looks like a nice enough fandom, but it doesn't compel me.
The one who's slept with all your friends, and you keep looking at him and thinking, "Him? How the hell did he land all these cool babes?":
- Twilight. Read the first book, and then wanted to vomit. Seriously, I don't get the hype. Repetitive tiring tropes are lame. The big vampire craze ended with Buffy and Angel. Move on, people! (Though I will see the movie to lol at it)
The one your friend has fallen for like a ton of bricks and whom she keeps babbling to you about on the phone for hours, and you'd be happy for her except you just know it's going to end badly:
- Bleach I hear a lot about from several people. I've seen enough of it to know it won't go anywhere. It's a rocky plot with cookie cutter characters. I honestly don't get the appeal.

Woohoo!
