Shopping

So, staying with Ted and him being sick gave me a bad case of cabin fever... so I insisted on us going out and doing something yesterday. Oddly enough, I felt like going window shopping and trying on clothes. I tried on a LOT of dresses and it was awesome, because I fit into a large almost perfectly on my bust, and sometimes they are too big everywhere else. I tried on this awesome purple silk dress at Le Chataux that I want, but it's like $90 *pouts*. Bust wise, it was a perfect fit, but hips and waist could have gone in a bit. It's awesome because +10lbs ago, the extra large would have fit, and +23lbs ago, the extra large was too small. I'm so excited!!! Maybe in 10 more pounds I'll fit into medium? I dunno! But, my breasts will never fit into a small lol!!

I really like shopping with my boyfriend. Most guys HATE shopping with girls, because we always have to try on everything. Ted's like the perfect shopping partner... seriously... lol. Sure, he doesn't know fashion at all... but he claims that he looks at the models on the wall and thinks "My girlfriend would look way better in that." Whenever I try something on, more often then not, he'll make some comment about my being hot and boinkable. There wasn't a single bad thing he had to say... and he was always telling me I was the hottest woman there. It's great. I love him.

Then we watched Chasing Amy (must see if you haven't seen it... I LOVE KEVIN SMITH... ahem...). The male lead in that movie falls in love with a lesbian, who turns out isn't 100% a lesbian and he gets all upset. Funny thing is, Ted was commenting about what a dickhead the guy was being (he was...) and I was commenting about how she lied. I totally agree Holden was just being a self-centered prick, but I'm really bothered by liars. Any way, the point is, I have a jaded past (thankfully not as bad as hers) and he doesn't care. Again, awesome.

So... losing weight and having people comment on that is just great for my self-esteem. Which I'm still trying to work on. Here are some idea's I have so far:

1. Complimenting myself every time I look in the mirror
2. Finding that self-esteem MP3 I once had

That's it. Anyone else have any idea's on things I could do to help with my self-esteem? Any idea's are welcome. That, and any other idea's on what it means to be an adult. That'd be great, too... That part about the adult is more for Ted's benefit as he forgot about that post...

ted is awesome, relationship stuff, losing weight
