No, I haven't moved. I'm just on a much needed vacation. It's the calm before the storm.
I've been on a voluntary hiatus from LJ due to work being rather exhausting for the last couple of months and there's no telling when the workload will return to normal. I've taken on several applications formerly maintained by another team within IT, we're working on major upgrades in the coming year and our Baltimore office is moving to the Inner Harbor at the end of May. Add to that workload the usual political wrangling that goes on in a law firm the size of ours and it's a wonder I haven't pulled out all of my hair instead of steadily going gray.
I've no definite plans for this week other than perhaps seeing a couple of movies, getting some rest and reading. I have my laptop and my drafts folder with me. With any luck I might write a few words.
alyburns has announced that there will be a modified
Moonridge Auction to support the zoo this year. I'll participate, if only by adopting a few of the animals. I would like to provide a story, but unless someone can track down my fugitive muse, I'm not promising a thing.
