John Black dies today of injuries sustained in a hit and run -- and nobody knows who hit him yet, though everyone assumes that Stefano had something to do with it. Tomorrow he gets a full fledged five hanky funeral complete with flashbacks and eulogies. They even mention family members who have left the show -- Eric Brady, Brady Black and Vivian Alamain.
Apparently this is the real thing for Drake Hogestyn's character, but as has been noted -- no one is ever really, truly dead in Salem. The best anyone can claim is to be mostly dead. We'll just have to wait and see if the writers pull another back from the dead Miracle Max routine in the future.
