As we're preparing for our last night of fangirl activities, I thought I'd sum up our weekend.
Thursday we all arrived at the B&B. We decided on dinner in so that we could watch Smallville and Supernatural. If there had been that much yelling and screaming in a hotel room, I'm sure that law enforcement would have been called.
We got up early Friday morning for the special shapes balloon ascension and the key grab events. It was a good day to go to the balloon fiesta because the winds, and later rain, would cancel other events. We were back in time for breakfast at 9:45.
After breakfast, we went shopping in Old Town. I catered to my inner twelve year old and found two new plot bunnies.
Then there was the tramway up to Sandia Peak, at an elevation of over 10,000 feet. We had a light dinner at Sandiago's Resturant.
We returned to the B&B for a little Queer as Folk indoctrination of
treetracer.
On Saturday we decided to sleep in, have breakfast and then head over to Boca Negra Canyon at Petroglyph National Park. We hiked all three trails. The third trail was the hardest but took us to the top of the Mesa.
We had a quick lunch at a restaurant near the park and a little while to regroup, we went back to the Balloon Fiesta Park for Candlelight Glow and Fireworks.
Saturday night was Supernatural night. Several episodes. As much as I enjoyed it, I fell asleep in the chair even as the episodes played on and the comments contined.
Sunday morning we had breakfast and split up.
agt_spooky and
charityflint went to Santa Fe while
treetracer,
thistle90,
nebt_het, and I went to the the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.
I bought a beautiful watch and corn maiden pendant and earring set.
nebt_het had to leave Sunday so we took her to the airport.
We had dinner at El Pinto and came back for more Supernatural. We're watching Devil's Trap now.
Tomorrow we're all heading home.
And I still don't have a really tacky t-shirt.
