A bar where the criminal element gets together to gripe about their nemesis! In costume, no less. Oh, how fanon this was! And the drink orders!
So Wally works in the Crime Lab just like his uncle, Barry Allen, did! How great a shout out to DC history is that?
This episode goes a long way to explaining why The Flash's death in "A Better World" was the catalyst that formed the Justice Lords. The Flash isn't just the conscience of the League, he's beloved. Even Batman gets it. And now so does Orion after seeing Flash battle three of his Rogue's Gallery plus calmly talk a fourth into going back into therapy.
Orion seemed so unimpressed with Wally's home, while Wally thought it was great. Wally is an innocent in so many ways. Despite everything he sees while fighting villains and even just helping out a neighbor, Wally is unspoiled.
If Luthor and Brainiac had managed to kill Wally, I wouldn't doubt that Superman would have retaliated with lethal force.
But now that the crisis has been averted, I believe that Superman may not be the biggest threat to anyone who would lay a finger on a hair of Wally's head. Wally's protector is Batman. And not just of his physical safety. Bruce has actually come to care about our annoying little speedster. I don't think that he took Orion along to "Flash Appreciation Day" just to shut him up, but to teach him a thing or two about real heroes.
