After the first surge is over...
... I realize how much fun I missed when I started to neglect the fandom. I don't know if I'll ever be back full force, but I know it'll always be precious to me. I need to do things at my own (slow) pace and with things moving on and changing so fast it becomes a challenge to keep up with it and have the kind of response that keeps you going.
I'm also still dealing with Hiromi's club, who is still working on getting the Memorial Album to us, and it makes me quite sad and a little regretful all over again.
On the note of pace, I have to say that it's absolutely wonderful to be on my own here and absolutely free of any obligations or schedules. I did enjoy the club-focus last year, but being here and having to be nowhere in particular at any given time is exhilarating and energizing in a special way. On the other hand, being able to go whenever, wherever I want poses a different kind of difficulty as the possibilities are endless and time is limited. :P
I won't pressure myself too much, though, as this is a much needed vacation and I do need some time to relax. I think I'm the kind of person that gets more from doing less and enjoying it fully rather than hurrying through a tight schedule trying to cover as many bases as possible.
The only stress I'll allow myself will be the trip to Takarazuka to see Yukigumi. I got the JRP (thanks Becca for the heads up!) and have my reservations for the shinkansen. Also splurged on a hotel room next to the theater, so I did everything to reduce the stress and make it an enjoyable rather than just tiring experience. I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT IT.
Weird post is being weird and I apologize for that. (Although, hey, it's my journal, so deal with it. :P) I guess jet lag is getting to me and throwing my hormones in a whirl. I'm sure I'll get better after my second cup of coffee and a chocolate donut. :)
Tonight it's So!Fox again <3 and I think I'll do some shopping before that. That will make me feel better for sure! :P I already made a quick tour through QR yesterday and there were a few things I just could not walk away from:
Srsly, how do you turn your back on that? (The last one is an 8x12 :P )
It's really a shame that Mami's concert had to be so early this year and I couldn't get more days off (damn team event at work made it impossible). I would have loved to catch the Galactic Heroes. XD Aras, I'll have to find a way to get my hands on the DVD instead. :)
