Wonder Woman: Amazon Princess
XENA: Warrior Princess
Even the title's a rip-off, LOL.
I was a bit trigger-happy here... 90 of the best shots behind the cut.
Queen Hippolyta and her army of Amazons are fighting Ares and his army of monsters.
She doesn't have a Chakram, but she's throwing her tiara to pretty much the same effect.
And just like Xena and Ares, Hippolyta and Ares have a history (and a son). But there's no love lost between them.
Meanwhile the Gabby character doesn't want to fight and instead hides and quotes ancient philosophers.
She's told that if she doesn't fight like an Amazon, she should at least die like an Amazon.
And we're back with the Queen and her Ex-Lover, who are about to finish their business once and for all. Look, she whistles for her ride, too. Only hers has wings. :D
(And when she's jumping off, doesn't she look like an archangel?)
Fast forward twenty years or so. The Amazons have earned their piece of heaven on earth. They don't age and live in peace. The only child growing up is the Queen's daughter Diana. Who trains with the second Xena-ish character, Artemis.
Diana keeps winning, and there's nothing Artemis can teach her anymore.
Gosh, the beauty! <3
Mom appears and Artemis plays the one trump Diana can't take from her - her place by her mother's side. XD
I think they look very couplish whenever they're together in a scene. And guess who gets to play the man. :P
Then the gabby character appears and things get mixed up. She doesn't like fighting at all and prefers books over weapons.
Hippolyta is not amused.
Look, they're standing together again.
I think this is a very awesome picture. She looks like a greek goddess. ... Wait.
Gabby gets killed while the annoying male trespasser is being told by "daddy" that he's facing immediate castration if he gets within a 5 feet radius of Diana. Artemis' body language tells us that wrong looks from greater distance are most likely unsafe as well.
Fast, fast forward, toward the end, Gabby is resurrected as zombie. She's fighting like she's never been fighting when she was alive, and she finally earns Artemis'... respect. Too late, though, she has to go. However, not without proving that reading dead philosophers has its benefits as well, so Artemis takes up reading as her new hobby.
I can't help it, this looks naturally butch.
"Now that you've made your peace with Alexis (Gabby), will you accept and be my consort?"
"I'm not sure, what about Diana?"
"We both know you've always been her father-figure, but I'm afraid...
"... she's going for the real deal now."
(And OMG, she looks like a female Clark Kent. LOL)
