Just got off the phone with my best friend who's putting all her income and some savings into her new hobby - skydiving. She already got one of those licenses and is practicing formations already. I had a dream about her new hobby ending bad and I'm terribly worried, but she's happy, and so I'm happy for her. She's excited to finally have found a sport she's good at, in fact, much better than many others, for the first time in her life. More power to her. I love me some ground beneath my feet.
Anyway, point was that she's putting all her money into one hobby, while I try to juggle several. I guess the 'all over the place' aspect is one of the bonds I feel with Mami. XD
And again I digress. Yesterday was Wednesday, which means comics day. And because comics these days get suckier every week and there are less and less titles I'm interested in, I was delighted to spot a decent science fiction mini series from 2004 that had been reprinted as a TP:
OCEAN.
Pretty decent story and art, and apparently about to be turned into a movie. :) We have butch-looking, red-haired grease monkeys, sexy native american/arab station commanders, smart asian analysts, african-american heroes with the face of Samuel L. Jackson, and mean corporate managers. AND NOT ONE KISS or sappy romance squeezed in. (Will probably change in the movie). Oh, and some archeaology, astronomy, geology etc... <3
