I recently went through a lot of my old makeup and threw out quite a bit! To make up (no pun intended) for this, I went out this past weekend and I picked up some goods from Sephora, MAC, Target, the Daiso, Nippan Daido, and Walgreens. Top items on the list were lip gloss & nail polish! Here's a wrap-up of what I purchased including shades / names.
- Soap & Glory's "Sexy Motherpucker" lip plumper in "Plum Juice"
- Neo Color Quad Shadow
- Stargazer London lipsticks ("Lavender", "Hot Pink", and "Peach")
- Eyelashes from the Daiso
-NARS blush in "Super Orgasm"
-Tuke Matuge Eyelash Clip (for putting on fake lashes easily)
-Philosophy's "Hope in a Jar" moisturizer, Mac's "Viva La Glam" lipstick in "Gaga",
-KISS "Brush-on Nail Art Paint" ("Bikini Pink", "Bikini Coral", "Neon Orange", "Neon Yellow", "Beach Green", "Soft Blue", "White")
-Maybelline NY Eyestudio in "Mocha Mirage"
-Urban Decay Surreal Skin Cream to Powder Foundation in "Nirvana"
-Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush lipgloss ("Cupquake", "Bananas!", "Have a Gumball","Good Limes", "Slice of Heaven"),
-China Glaze's Up & Away collection ("Re-Fresh Mint", "Light as Air", "Lemon Fizz", "Peachy Keen")
-Sephora stippling brush
-Tarina Tarantino's "Spaklicity Shimmer Dust" (smells like light cotton candy!),
-Palty gel eyeliner in black (with sparkles),
-Smackers Lip Sparkler in "Vanilla Frosting" (Omg...it tastes like icing WTF this is good),
-Loreal HIP Kohl eyeliner in Gold and Black,
-Lip Smackers lip balm ("Spun Sugar & Shine", "Mint Choco", "Strawberry Kiwi")
The China Glaze nail polish from the Up & Away collection have been lusted over ever since I saw preview photos last December! These shades are absolutely perfect for both lolita and fairy kei coordinates.
The Kiss brush-on nail art polish is really fun for doing little squiggly designs (i'll post some examples in my next update).
The Stargazer London lipstick is highly pigmented and I'd suggest getting this before you get any others! It's a lot cheaper than getting some from that LimeCrime chica (who re-packages makeup anyhow) and you can find it on eBay!
The Soap & Glory Sexy Motherpucker lip plumper can be purchased at Target stores only (it's originally from the UK.)
The Urban Decay foundation is soooo light but blends in perfect with my skin <3
Palty gel eyeliner is sooooo nice and has little sparklies in it. It's a Japanese brand and you can buy it online. I got mine from the Japanese grocer here for around 15 USD.
The Viva La Glam MAC lipstick in Gaga is the perfect bright pink lipstick I've been searching for!
The Nars blush may have a crude name, but it's such a nice rich peachy tone. I'm tired of pinks and I feel they don't work very with with my skintone as much as a peach would, as I have a yellow undertone. It also has glitter.
Maybelline Eye Studio is prettttty. I love brown and pink!
If you're feeling in the mood for sparkles and cotton candy, try out the Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Shimmer Dust. It comes in a lovely bottom with a retro-styled bulb atomizer for that extra glam feeling. I like to spray it around my eyes and in my bangs for that little bit of glitz.
If you couldn't tell, I went into Sephora and told them "I need glitter" and this is what they provided me.
I really like the VS Beauty Rush lip gloss as they're thick and have a good scent with a bit of a flavour. I've been told the Hope in the Jar moisturizer is good, yet I haven't used it yet.
The Loreal Hip Kohl eyeliner works well yet the only downside is slight clumping on the applicator, so you have to be sure to knock the excess off.
The Lip Smacker products are always a nice little grab from the drugstore; always reminds me of my childhood and the one that smells like Vanilla Frosting TASTES like cake frosting.
Overall, all good purchases and reasonably priced. The makeup from Sephora (Nars, Urban Decay, Tarantino) was high-priced but it's much higher end and worth it!
