Favorite teacher
My favorite teacher. Our family is now on a journal kick where we pick topics out of a hat and write about them. Tom Headley recently retired from ETSU as the Broadcasting Director. He didn't care how you got the video, just that it looked good when you were done in post editing. That was the toughest thing, getting it good enough with 10 year old equipment. We tried to get the effects with the equipment we had but it always looked campy. Looking back now, I can see what he saw. But he could see the effort and appreciated it.
It was a treat to see him again and work in the same building. Recently I discovered his daughter died five years ago so he adopted his granddaughter. But last week she passed away, too. I could only imagine what it must feel like to not only bury your child but your children's child as well. That is not how he envisioned his retirement beginning, I'm sure.
My prayers are with him.
