I really should write here more. I keep thinking about it, but it's too convenient for me to dwell on well-crafted thoughts only to be satisfied in thinking without writing. I'm also noticing the MS interfering with my ability to type. I just can't seem to type as fast as I think anymore. Perhaps I'll invest into some text to speech tool - though that may be slower.
I've moved to Paris, Texas in March. I bought a decent home here. We both like it and our work of investiture consists of updating a 40 year old house and restoring the land. The yard is mostly weeds and so I've been spraying to kill the grass and weeds. We think we've found an idea replacement called "Dwarf Carpet of Stars" (Ruschia Lineolata), It's a succulent that is very short, viney and doesn't grow tall enough to cut with a lawnmower. We're hoping it will be a low cost and low effort alternative to traditional grass lawns.
We're going to clear the front yard of any trees, except for one. I've trimmed the lower branches of the tree we are going to keep. There is a pine tree near the mailboxes that is nearly dead and another very close to the front of the home - about 10 feet away from the front door. I bought a nice STHIL chainsaw to deal with those.
