My mother had a "mini" stroke about 4 weeks ago. Turns out that after a transesophageal echocardiogram (basically what it sounds like, they shove a tube down your throat with an ultrasound device at the end of the tube, and through your esophagus they get a clear view of your heart), that she has a "hole" in her heart, as she put it. In all actuality it's a hole in one of her valves in her heart or one of them just aren't closing all the way. The problem with this is what most people know as a murmur, blood is allowed to backflow, with the potential of creating clots. This happened apparently and a small clot went to her brain. Fortunately, it caused no permanent neurological problems and she's been placed on blood thinners for now. She said they're discussing replacing the valve, so we'll see.

Last semester is was my cousin, who was 9 months older than I am and my best friend, dying 3 days before Christmas. This semester it's my mother having a stroke. Lovely.

Fortunately this is something that can be repaired with my mom.

I had to babysit my aunts dog last week as she and my uncle were gone on a cruise. I was able to get on my old treadmill in her basement 4 times. It felt good. But this week, being back in Wixom, I can't bring myself to go jogging outside. It's nice and quiet out here. Unfortunately there's also no scenery to look at and keep my eyes/mind occupied whilst jogging. So, I'm planning to go jogging at my aunts house after school at least on Thursdays and Fridays (since I'm in Dearborn for lecture anyway).

I've been so poor for some reason the past few weeks, I've not had the money to get my haircut, lol. So I look a bit shaggy. Fortunately I was finally able to beg, steal, and borrow $40 bucks from my uncle for food. =) Oh well. I should be getting my financial aid reimbursement here in the next week or two and then I'll be fine.

I finally beat my last pc game purchase, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. It wasn't as good as the first one as far as plot line. However, they did make many improvements in overall playability and your characters progression in the game.

I guess that's all for now.
