So I was reading mistful's livejournal the other day, and I came across a mention of this show called Merlin. Having spent many months addicted to mistful's posts, and seeing her positive feedback on Merlin, I decided to take a look via youtube.
I also decided to show my little sister, who shall be referred to as Booger Bear. We watched this episode called "the moment of truth," and I didn't realize how many things one could poke fun at in the episode.
1- I sat in tears at Will's death scene, all the time Booger Bear patting my hand comfortingly and asking hesitantly if Merlin's patting Will's hair came off at all gay.
2- Merlin's mother is talking to him before he goes back to Camelot. she unintentionally quotes the dragon with a line about Arthur being the other side of a coin. A few seconds later, she tells him that when Merlin left home, he was just a boy. I threw out a dramatic hand and, using a dramatic voice, announced that Merlin was now a man. Booger Bear: no, definitely a woman. because that's the other side of a coin, right? and Arthur's definitely a man. A very fine man: a hottie.
and, of course, there's the whole randomly hitting the pause button throughout the episode and giggling at the funny faces the actors make when they're in the middle of shouting or falling or wailing.
But that's just a few minutes from my life. the big part during November, my NaNoWriMo, is finally over, even though I had to drop two others I had been planning and start an easy-to-write one five days late...I did finish on time, with 2 hours to spare. this explains the random grinning. kudos to the many people who finished, and also the many more who started- unless you didn't get past ten thousand. then you must redeem yourself with a Jan.-Feb. NaNo that my big sister and I will be competing.
big sisters are also nice. they can tell you funny stories about college, leaving out all the dull parts, and tell delightfully unexpected things that one would never suspect. gosh darn it-- I just lost the game. do not read this post again!
what game?
well, there's three rules, and one understood.
1-you are now playing the game
2-if you think about the game, you've lost it
3-if you lose the game, you must announce it
(4 understood)-if you lose the game, so does everyone in the vicinity.
there is, of course, Christmas, which I find very strange. it's mostly a holiday for buying and giving and receiving: which sounds nice until one looks at things like black friday and shopping rushes. I also think that there should be some more colors for Christmas other than red and green. for instance, blue. that's a nice color, and paler shades can represent frostiness and dark shades night skies. there are, of course, lots of good things about Christmas, which includes bubble wrap, stick-on bows, and should I get lucky, lots of snow.
Happy Christmas- I'll probably not be getting on till then. got all these lovely summer reading projects for english, second semester.
Love,
Kwyl
white and nerdy,
