This is superb. I think that my comment would be pretty dumb, I can't find the right words to express how much I appreciated this. I think you did a magnificent job putting these two complex and "odd" characters together and showing us their analogies and a possible link between them (being vessels of broken dreams) I love Illyria so much and I'm feeling more and more connected to Dru. THESE TWO. GOD. And the words were so musical and poetic. I'm amazed.

oh sweetie! considering how well you write Dru and how attached you are to her, I'm so glad that this spoke to you! It was such an interesting pairing to write!

Oh, you exceeded all my expectations! (Like they weren't already high.)
You captured everything that made them similar and could drive them together to make such an extremely weird pairing perfectly believable. You are a Goddess!

(oh I am anything but)

I'm so glad that you liked how this turned out! They were a true treat to write, it's so unusual to have a pairing where both perspectives are so... distanced from reality. I love that in the end, Drusilla is the one that understands more of the reality of their situation and she is the one with more power in their dynamic. Such a slippery little demon she is.

This was brilliant! I think these two make quite the pair and your Drusilla was beautifully and emotionally lyrical.
Well done.
