Sorry if this posts twice; I'm on a train and internet comes and goes.

I'm only in mid-season one (and so am not going to read because I'm spoilerphobic, it's a thing) but re:

protect felicity from oliver 2014lolol. I agree about the female cast. Anyway the last episode I saw is the one where Oliver got shot by Moira and then got Felicity in to bandage him, because she's at the company. Already I'm annoyed at the way Oliver treats her, or, maybe more precisely, the entire dynamic. When Walter realized that he was getting into something big and dangerous he tried to shut down Felicity looking into things, in a patriarchal angry boss man way, granted, but I think he was trying to not get put one of his employees in danger that he doesn't even know anything about. Oliver, who is so concerned about shielding his family and "Oliver Queen's friends" (i.e. his public identity's friends) from the Hood's actions, continually goes to Felicity to decrypt dangerous stuff without bothering to tell her that, oh yeah, tell anyone about this they ( ... )

This is completely the right venue for this kind of rant!!!

And I could not agree with you more. And I have a lot to say, except I fear it would be spoilery and I don't want to do that to you! Needless to say, it doesn't get better. And the current season is especially frustrating.

This fic is only vaguely spoilery in that the description mentions Sara. But nothing other than Felicity/Diggle domesticity exists here. If you've seen Diggle give Felicity his "well aren't you the most wonderful thing" expression, then you know enough.

omg IS THIS A SERIES? EEEEEK.

but oh gosh I love this. And I really adore the writing style? There's something just very whimsical but also just deeply fond embedded in the prose itself. You can really get a feel for them and their relationship, despite how short this is. I love the reoccurring theme of ~secret~ boyfriend or girlfriend, and I love how rife with details this is? there's nothing generic here, it's very THEM; the type of coffee, the bagels, the exact number of push ups, what they watch (Psych!).

Dinner is nice and refreshing, Laurel Lance isn’t the first person Felicity would have chosen for a friend, but they both like wine and wearing heels and not talking about bullet wounds, so an evening out now and then with someone who saves the world like a normal person in a business suit and with armfuls of files instead of assault weapons is a pretty good change of pace.

This friendship makes me really unbearably happy tbh.

It’s the one thing they have that’s all theirs. Also this. This is gorgeous. All these good heart- ( ... )

lol idk if it will continue as a series or not, but I felt as though I really needed to resolve the milk situation?

yay I'm so glad you like it! (esp the style. I don't think I can be as witty as Felicity is in-canon so the idea of doing something dialogue-heavy terrifies me)

This friendship makes me really unbearably happy tbh.
SO IMPORTANT.
