yessssss what a lovely prompt!!!

(I tend towards cupcakes when I write about baking themes, not cookies - so if that ~accidentally happens is that okay? I just know myself and want to have disclaimers set)

That would be fine.
I was just thinking about Buffy's metaphorical cookie dough issues. Perhaps Caroline will teach her that metaphorical cupcakes with pink frosting make for way better imagery? *g*

I have never watched TVD and have no idea who Caroline is and I already love this prompt so much it's insane. (Should I be catching up on this show?)

It's enjoyable show. I consider it a guilty pleasure more than anything.

It's about vampires and other supernatural creatures so that's a plus.

I would say you have to court the show for about seven episodes before you really get to the awesome bits.

P.S. This is Caroline Forbes.

Thanks! i was wondering if that's the character clockwork_hart1 wrote a btvs/tvd crossover shippy fic with Buffy but no, that character was Katherine http://clockwork-hart1.livejournal.com/24243.html

So clearly I know nothing (except there's an Elena and didn't she die and that broke kwritten's heart? Will it break my heart?)

There are aspects of the show that will break your heart.

Oh dear.

Well, I'm already a glutton for punishment anyway right? And heartbreak over fictional characters still beats reality any day. (VERY loosely paraphrasing Quentin Crisp.)

for the record, it was Katherine dying that broke my heart.

and also - sometimes it takes people a while to fall in love with the characters, but in episode ONE Caroline Forbes has a mental breakdown at a bar and I fell in love with her for it.

WHY YOU ASK?

Because the preciously perfect girl knew - at the beginning - what role she plays in the narrative of her own show and it pissed her off.

And I fell in love.

(Also I think you will love her anyway, she's ... she's that Type-A personality teen girl who takes charge of everything and has desperate control issues and is actually very emotionally vulnerable and lovely despite the facade that she presents to the rest of the world. I just really love her, okay?)

((Don't get me started on my Elena-love we will be here all day. I actively ship her with Dawn on the daily, which *should* give you some sense of my eternal adoration.))

Yes, I figured that. I was just making a disclaimer. I've tried to write about baking before and it always ends up cupcakes. ;)

I've never considered this ship before but am so *ready* to give it a shot!
