Oooh, I really like the contrast here, especially as you make it more explicit towards the end. Especially this:

(One dark, heady night they pressed against each other - no longer as sisters but just as shapes in the dark - and tried to reform the other into the thing that they needed. Gamora lingering with her fingers trying to press into Nebula’s body a tiny part of her warmth. Nebula biting and scratching just a little too hard, trying to stir up anger and aggression in Gamora’s heart.)

They're so complicated and such a mess, both together and separately, and I think you capture that here. And yes, whatever Thanos was doing with Gamora, surely this couldn't have been the result he hoped for.

(FYI, you definitely don't need to feel guilty about past prompts I've given you. I throw them out when people ask for them, but I don't expect them, so it's always a nice surprise when a fic appears!)

I am anxious to start reading the comics so that I can get a better handle on WHAT Gamora and Nebula are actually like? The film seemed like a really awful tease in terms of those two especially.

(fyi I only feel guilty about fic that I really, really want to write and never have time for - I love your prompts and just always seem to lose time!!)
