And I need, need, need a world where Buffy/Tara/Anya(/Olivia) save the world and look hot doing it.

YES YES AND YES, SO MUCH.

I can't believe I haven't commented on Finding a balance - didn't we have a conversation about it? (was it all in pm's?) But anyhoo I posted some tara art on my journal I'd been overdue with and fic pimpage happened. http://red-satin-doll.livejournal.com/59556.html

Later, in the Silence, Buffy reaches out her hand in the dark and finds Tara’s fits into her own as if they were made for each other. They beat back the demons and Buffy screams because it’s what she was born to do and Tara fights the monsters back because it’s what she has chosen to do.

I have SO MUCH LOVE for this story, Kelsey you have no idea. And so much love for that passage. This is one I go back to over and over. I think it wasn't until today that I really "got" that the scream is referencing Hush - my mind kept jumping ahead to Season5 and Tara comforting Buffy in the wake of Joyce's death and interpreted it as a scream of anguish - and that does work in a multilayered way. but buffy finding someone to love, finding a solid source of support in S4+ instead of having to shore up other people's (mostly male) fragile egos only to be abandoned time and again, or have to deal with "we should be lovers because I said so and I want you so bad but you're still not enough." or " be my hero but don't disappoint me ever don't ever be human or real." FTN. I want this world you've created.

This is the story that pushed me all the way into Buffy/Tara shipper, no apologies.

anya so deserved the magic box more than giles ever did

HELL YES.

Olivia is so underrated as an individual and I really wish she had stayed full-time to put Giles in his place.

Thanks so much for pimping this! I'm rather proud of it!

((You commented on it over on the femslash_mini's page, not on my private journal - which is why you are confused lol))

Yes, I was intentionally mirroring the Buffy/Riley scene and the Tara/Willow scene at the same time. Because Hush is an important episode for both couples and I think for Buffy/Tara - it would make sense for them to come together in the same moment. Holding hands the way Tara reaches out to Willow to lend her power, Kissing as their lives are exposed the way Buffy reaches out to Riley, and then climaxed by Buffy screaming and claiming her place as 'princess' and warrior simultaneously. I don't know. It just felt really poetic and so fitting for them to start in the same place. I hadn't thought to reference the Body, because I wanted this to be firmly placed in S4 - but the reference does work and thank you so much for pointing it out to me :)

I want this world you've created.
I think my favorite moment in this world is the idea of Buffy and Tara on a bed in a dorm or something studying, and their Sam in the corner playing with a kitten. There's something so... peaceful about the idea that Buffy/Tara wouldn't be hidden and private in the ways that Willow/Tara are. All their scenes together are so ostracized from the group, the Scoobies are so ~jealous and possessive of each other. But in a Scooby situation where Buffy and Tara are at the head, and Olivia is a maternal presence to balance Giles, I imagine Anya, Sam, and the drummer (OMG HE NEEDS A NAME, HELP!) are included in the intimacy that Buffy and Tara build for themselves. And that is really important to me for some reason and the backbone of this 'verse.

This is the story that pushed me all the way into Buffy/Tara shipper, no apologies.
ME TOO NEVER APOLOGIZE I AM FULL OF SO MUCH REGRET.

Anya for Queen of the Universe, honestly.
