[fest] lady-love
the most actual true statement about me: I love my flist more than is even halfway reasonable.
Which is why - in honor of some non-specific day that we will not discuss - I want to host some sort of a lady-love fest.
Because if there's one thing my flist/fandom has taught me over the past few years - is that self-love and lady-love is intrinsically tied: when we judge and shame each other, we are internalizing judgement and shame onto ourselves.
So let's take some time to talk about and write about our favorite ladies. All the ladies.
For those of you who remember my previous multi-fandom " Love the Un-Loved Ladies" fest: I want to call on that enthusiasm again, but slightly different this time.
(1) All ladies are welcome!
Which also means: pimp pimp pimp away!
(2) Leave prompts for fic, meta, or graphics.
(3) It's NaNo season - so although most comment-a-thons aren't really the place for long-fic, I'm strongly encouraging and recommending flash-fic and flash-meta here specifically. A place for those who are trying to focus on writing something large to have a short reprieve from the madness, but emphasis on the short.
And I don't know about you - but when ~stressed, nothing helps soothes than a quick graphic project.
(4) Boys are allowed - but please make sure the emphasis is on the lady particularly.
(aka: ship to your ship's heart, but remember we are here for the ladies)
That said, lady-relationships are strongly encouraged.
(5) Be kind. This is about love not about character hate. If I see any of that, you will be deleted.
ESPECIALLY pitting one female character against each other.
There will be NO: "Don't you think Ginny is vastly superior to Hermione?" prompts AT ALL.
NO.
(6) Multi-fandom really means ALL FANDOMS NEED APPLY.
Remember to comment when you have finished something, so that we all can know! And invite your friends.
Considering the time of year and impromptu nature - think of this as a November lady-love space.
(For now it is a free-for-all, but if you'd like to see other events/ideas or fandom-centric spaces throughout the month, please let me know.)
