Orphanage- Chapter 4!
Eleven Years Later
Hyukjae wakes up instantaneously, as he has done since he was six, taking in his surroundings. He feels Donghae's weight on his chest and stomach as the 19-year-old-as-of-today boy sleeps. Trying not to move much, he puts his arms behind his head and tries to get comfortable without waking up Donghae. It's his birthday, he could sleep in. While laying down, he thinks over the last eleven years of his life, which were, quite easily, the best and easiest of his life so far. A few months after Hyukjae and Donghae came to the 'Fortress' as everyone had taken to calling it, a boy had stumbled upon Sungmin and Kyuhyun, who were foraging for wild fruits and berries in the forest. He was from a village three days and nights of travel away, he said, and his parents had been murdered over a dispute involving some guns, and drugs. He had ran away after coming home to their dead bodies on the livingroom floor, and kept moving until he had came across Sungmin and Kyuhyun, and Sungmin had convinced Kyuhyun that he should come. Henry wasn't the last one to join the group either. A year or so after that, Zhou Mi had come, looking for his brother, who had turned out to be Han Geng. Then four years ago, or was it five? Taemin had come, along with Onew and Kibum, who everyone called Key to avoid confusion, and they brought back Minho and Jonghyun a few months later. After that, they had needed to upgrade the cottage. Now it slightly looked like a small mansion. Kangin was, surprisingly, a very good arcitect, and with some help from Jungsu, had organised everyone together to build the new house. It took little over two months. Which were some interesting camping times. Hyukjae let a chuckle slip out as a memory of Donghae getting everyone to come swimming in the lake last October came into his mind. Donghae had pouted until Hyukjae, Jungsu and Sungmin had given in. Taemin, Key, Minho and Jonghyun were all for it from the beginning, which meant that Heechul had been brought in, and since Heechul was, Han Geng and Siwon were, which meant Zhou Mi and Henry were, which had led to Heechul, Henry and Zhou Mi giving up on convincing everyone else and simply pushing everyone else in, Taemin and Key had, of course, helped after they realised what was going on.
"What you laughing at?" Donghae asks blearily, having woken up from Hyukjae's chuckle. Hyukjae runs his hand over Donghae's black hair, that was down to his chin, and, at the moment, very messy from sleep. Sexy, a part in the the back of Hyukjae's mind registers.
"Nothing. Happy birthday, Hae." Hyukjae says, watching as Donghae's eyes brighten in happiness when it registers that it's his birthday. Donghae wraps his arms around Hyukjae's chest in a hug before quickly pressing his lips against Hyukjae's cheek and jumping off the bed and out of the bedroom.
"Why do I always walk in at weird times?" Henry says from the doorway, leaning against it as Hyukjae comes out of his shocked state. Heechul saunters into the room from behind Henry, and looks around the bedroom, which was light blue, and decorated by Donghae, who had decided that his bed and Hyukjae's both had to be light blue with green fish.
"The real question is, why the hell did we bother to buy you both beds when you only use one?" Heechul says, rolling his eyes and opening the home made oak dresser, which had been stained a dark cherry red. Heechul pulled out a pair of jeans, and a black shirt, before tossing them at Hyukjae.
"Put those on, and go keep birthday boy busy." Heechul says, before walking out the door, Henry shutting it behind them.
Hyukjae looks down at the clothes Heechul had picked out, before sliding on the shirt and buttoning the middle three buttons up, leaving the top button and the last two undone. Standing up, he pulls his pajama pants (aliens, compliments of Donghae for Hyukjae's last birthday) down and pulling the pants on. Combing his fingers through his dark brown hair, he tries to get most of the knots out of his hair, which runs halfway down his neck. Walking out of his and Donghae's room, he quickly walks down the stairs, giving Ryeowook a hug as he passes by him and Yesung talking in the hallway, before passing into the kitchen, where Donghae, Sungmin, Jungsu, and Zhou Mi sat at the dining table.
"Morning Hyukkie ah." Jungsu says, snacking lazily on a piece of toast. Hyukjae smiles and mumbles a hello, walking over to the fridge and pulling out a small carton of juice and drinking it as he sits at the table beside Donghae.
"Hyukkie hyung! You're going to take me into town today, right?" Donghae asks excitedly, looking over at Hyukjae, who swallows the juice in his mouth before looking over at Donghae.
"Stick to your promise to be good and I'll keep mine." Hyukjae says, smirking at Donghae, who was pouting. Hyukjae smiles and laughs as he pulls Donghae close to him in a one arm hug. Donghae twists his arm around Hyukjae's waist and smirks into his shirt.
"You're wearing my clothes again." Donghae states, amusement etched onto his face. Hyukjae looks down at his clothes before looking up at Donghae.
"Shut up. I didn't choose my clothes this time. Heechul hyung threw them at me." Hyukjae says, ducking down to avoid a shoe that would have hit his head.
"ONEW! WHY IS YOUR SHOE BEING THROWN AROUND!" Jungsu yells, and Onew walks into the kitchen with a sheepish expression on his face.
"Sorry Hyung.... it slipped out of my hand when Kyuhyun hyung scared me. I didn't mean to throw it." Onew says, bending down and picking up his shoe, before hitting Minho on the back of the head as he walks by the fridge, where Minho was getting a drink.
"Ow! Hyung!" Minho complains, shutting the fridge door with his foot while rubbing his head with his free hand, the other one holding the water bottle. "What was that for?" Minho asks, drinking from the water bottle he had taken.
"One, that's my water, and two, you woke me up at six this morning." Onew says grumpily, snatching the water bottle back and draining the rest of it. Kyuhyun walks into the room and leans down near Sungmin's ear, whispering something into it. Sungmin giggles while covering his mouth, though his smile was still visible due to the change to the muscles around his eyes. Kyuhyun grabs Sungmin's hand and pulls him out of his chair, leading him towards the door.
"Bye! We're going into town to go shopping! We'll be home before supper!" Sungmin exclaims from the doorway, laughing again as Kyuhyun leans back into the doorway and waves before disappearing again, taking Sungmin with him.
"Bye?" Hyukjae says, raising his eyebrow at the empty doorway. Donghae laughs and Hyukjae looks at him before smirking, which has Donghae sutting up instantaneously, wary of the man beside him.
"What?" Donghae cautiously asks, starting to look a little nervous as Hyukjae's smirk widens a little. Hyukjae leans over and puts his lips near Donghae's ear, before whispering into it,
"Follow me, I've got a surprise for you." With that said, Hyukjae stands up and walks out, Donghae following after a second of hesitancy. Hyukjae walks through the large house back to their bedroom, and enters it, walking over to his bed and reaching under it, Donghae going over and sitting on his bed, still watching Hyukjae warily, though some excitement was showing on his face, his eyes lighting up when he sees the rectangular shaped gift that Hyukjae pulls out from under his bed.
"What is it?" Donghae asks excitedly, reaching out to grab the present. Hyukjae smiles and holds it just out of Donghae's reach, laughing slightly when Donghae pouts.
"What do you say? And I'm not telling you! Find out for yourself!" Hyukjae says, his face flashing momentarily from laughter to dark lust as Donghae shifts, widening his eyes and pushing his lower lip out slightly after he ran his teeth over it, which had reddened his lip. Donghae freezes for a moment as he notices Hyukjae's face change, before his eyes glance back to the gift and he reaches out again, opening and closing his hand in a 'give me' motion. Hyukjae's smile widens and he shakes his head.
"Please......" Donghae whines, crossing his arms and pouting while glaring at Hyukjae. Hyukjae making a show of thinking before he sighs and nods his head, giving the box to Donghae. Donghae smiles and looks at the blue wrapping before taking it off the box rather quickly. Donghae gasps as his reads whats on the box, and looks up at Hyukjae.
"Wanna go shopping for some fish?" Hyukjae asks, automatically bracing himself as Donghae launches himself off of the bed and tackles Hyukjae to the ground, causing a rather loud thump as they end up hitting the floor anyways.
"Thank you Hyukkie! Saranghae!" Donghae pretty much screeches as he hugs Hyukjae tightly, who smiled and hugged Donghae back.
'I love you too Hae. You don't even know how much...' Hyukjae thinks, hugging him closer before pushing Donghae off him, pretending to groan with effort.
"Get off me Hae! You're heavy! I have to stop you from eating so much...." Hyukjae exclaims teasingly, sitting up, his smile, which was only made wider by Donghae's huge smile, betraying his fake exasparation at the Fishy.
"Am not! Let's go get fish!" Donghae says, scrambling up and out the door, past Ryeowook, who had probably came to see what the thump was. Hyukjae rolled his eyes and got up, hurrying to catch up to Donghae, stopping to put on his shoes and grab Donghae's who was already outside, forgetting his shoes........... again.
