Certamen - It means competition in Latin
So, today was not only the day after Aaron Kwok's birthday, and Ms. Hancock's birthday, but it's also the big day...CERTAMEN! Let's see...none of us really studied, and I only studied half of what I'm meant to know for my part only, and one of my teammates didn't even try. So how did we pull it off? Well...It was all thanks to the junior team..who studied so much. Oh hardworking juniors. They almost made it to Semi-finals too!! I suppose the senior team didn't do too bad, at least they were able to answer some questions, and 3 of them were meant to be in intermediate, Good job guys!! Intermediate team...err...I dont' know if we did well or not. We really didn't have any excuse to not do well considering all of us are second year latin students, but at least we didn't come in last, and I can't say I didn't try. I answered two thirds of the answers, so I'm quite proud of myself. It was quite a waste of time though, because for 2 hours we were locked into an overheated cafeteria, and I missed 2 periods of school just for that?! Also, the cab driver took us to the wrong school...Northern instead of North Toronto instead -_-" It was a great time nonetheless, and I even managed to give Ms. H a CD for her birthday (filled with Aaron Kwok songs)
