It all started when...

I realized that I've never really talked about my favourite artistes on this journal here before. Yeah, it was all graphics, graphics and more graphics. LOL. So I'm going to write some sort of an introduction post over here about my favourite artistes/artistes whose music I always listen to. Here's the list, let's start with J-Pop first :) I warn you, it's pretty long! Here we go! XD

(I really suck at these lists, I tell you, because I always can't make up my mind which to go first >_<)

1. AAA

♥ since: Beginning of 2009. YES, I'm a pretty late fan but hey, I'm glad I got into them!
It all started when...: Back in end-2008, while watching the Taiwanese version of Hachimitsu to Kuroba a.k.a. Honey and Clover, I spotted this actress acting as Hua Ben Yu (Taiwanese version of Hanamoto Hagumi). I thought that this girl is really cute, like, REALLY cute XD I'm know I'm gonna sound like a freaking stalker but you can rest assure that I am absolutely NOT :D So I went to wiki about this girl called "Ito Chiaki" (Eh? A Japanese in a Taiwanese drama? Whoa, that's interesting!) and found out out that she is in this group called Attack All Around a.k.a. AAA (Interesting band name huh? XD). One day, I randomly stumbled upon their Jamboree!! PV and I thought that song's super happy! I didn't get into them yet then. Another day, I randomly stumbled upon their Tabidachi no Uta PV and DANG! I LOVE THE VOICES OF THE MALE VOCALISTS!!! Before I knew it, I was already on my way searching for their older songs and live performances! XD

2. Mika Nakashima

♥ since: Third quarter of 2007.
It all started when...: I can't exactly remember how I got into Mika but if my memory did not fail me, I heard LIFE somewhere and thought she's got a really unique voice. It's not a voice that you will hear in J-Pop music :)

3. Aya Kamiki

♥ since: Third quarter of 2008.
It all started when...: She just released her Summer Memories single and I saw the PV of the song. She's really gorgeous in the PV and her strong vocals was an almost instant hit for me.

4. Miliyah Kato

♥ since: Beginning of 2010.
It all started when...: Beginning of this year, I saw her Aitai PV all over YouTube so I decided to give it a try. Nice song but didn't get into her music. The next song I heard from her was the Love Forever feat. Shota Shimizu. Nope, not a fan of duets and I'm still not getting into her yet. It was when I heard Bye Bye then I finally got into her music. The music is really catchy and her voice's husky but strong at the same time. Another voice that's very unique in J-Pop music :)

5. YUI

♥ since: Beginning of 2007. She was the one who got me back into J-Pop music :)
It all started when...: During the beginning of 2007, I heard somewhere about how YUI is really talented and decided to give it a try and listened to Rolling Star (which was a new single then) and I liked the song already after listening to it once :D

6. Arashi

♥ since: Mid-2008. Late, very late but I won't call myself a fan.
It all started when...: Remember the HYD craze back then and One Love was the theme song for the HYD movie? Yeah! I really liked this song because of the instrumentals in the introduction and of course the melody of the song :D The next song I heard from them was Kaze no Mukou e and I really liked this song too and next was truth, theme song of MAOU. OMG instant love! Haha. I really like most of their songs, I mean, I love their songs but I don't know why I just can't get into them as a group. Perhaps the only reason is that I'm never a huge fan of boy bands (._.)

7. Nishino Kana

♥ since: Beginning of 2010.
It all started when...: Best Friend was SO hot in the beginning of this year, I just had to listen to it. I love her voice and she's gorgeous too! I was never much of a fan of tunes like that but this song got me! :D

8. Namie Amuro

♥ since: Sorry but I can't remember when because it was way too long ago XD She was one of the first few J-Pop artistes I listened to when I first came in touch with J-Pop music. I think it was during the CAN YOU CELEBRATE? era.
It all started when...: WAY TOO LONG AGO!!! LOL. I still remembered Namie was really popular back then. There were those J-Pop compilation albums back when I was in my pre-teen years and one of the tracks in it was CAN YOU CELEBRATE? by Namie.

9. UVERworld

♥ since: Mid-2008.
It all started when...: I chanced upon their Just break the limit! PV in mid-2008 and got seriously addicted to the song.

10. SPEED

♥ since: The year 2000. Weird but I only found out about them after they disbanded (before reuniting in 2008).
It all started when...: This was totally due to cousin's influence. Haha. They were so adorable back then. First song I heard from them was White Love and it remained to be one of my favourite songs by them until now :) I was so sad to find out that they weren't a unit anymore back in 2000. Thank goodness, they are back now!

Alright now to the short story about how I deviated away from J-Pop music and back again. I guess everyone undergoes this period of time when your tastes for things change, right? That's the infamous teenage years! Haha. So when everyone around me were listening to C-Pop and no love for J-Pop, I turned to C-Pop. I went back to J-Pop when I realized that C-Pop has turned some sort of crappy. Not that C-Pop's bad or what, there are still some really amazing C-Pop artistes out there! At the end of the day, I still love both :D
