My first week at Delta....

So, my first week at a new school is finished. Overall, it went very well, and I think that I will be able to at least tolerate Delta for a semester. I think I will end up really liking most of my classes. My computer class is the only one that may be really boring, but it is required for business majors, so I will have to deal with it. It's really interesting how perspectives at a university and community college are very different. Overall, at Western people had bigger goals and objectives for their lives/careers. I have found that a lot of people at Delta don't really have a bigger picture in mind. I really am glad that I am getting the experience of attending both a university and a community college because now I can compare the two. It's interesting to see the diversity at Delta as opposed to Western. And I don't really mean diversity as in race. At Delta more people have families, jobs, and other commitments besides school. So while school is important to Delta people it is important in a different way than it is to people at a university. I feel like I fit in in both situations, I guess. I would just have to say that all of my life I have been very sheltered, and going to delta allows me to experience a different "culture" (if you will) that is completely different than anything that I have experienced before. After all, going to Heritage and living in Saginaw Twp pretty much my whole life does not help to make one very diverese.

Okay, well that was a lot of rambling. Anyhow, I am bored of living at home already. I miss all my friends who are away at school, and all I want to do is go to the Detroit auto show but no one else seems to want to go...lol

Alright...later
