Two years.

Today marks the second anniversary of Sandy's death. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her or miss her. I see her in Henry a little more every day. There are times I feel that a lifetime has passed since we lost her and other times it seems like yesterday.



Sandy and a few fellow firefighters. This was taken at a conference for the Chicago Fire Department. I can say with certainty that they were more uncomfortable with the required attire than any blaze they'd ever encountered.



This was taken when she and her partner, John, pulled up outside the house while I was out with Henry--and the camera. They weren't too happy with me for that.



I believe she was in the middle of saying "Don't take that picture" when this was snapped.
