GREAT fun BEACH weekend
I had a wonderful and super-fun weekend. It was relaxing and just great... what's there to add?! I decided more or less spontaneously to join friends for a weekend by the most touristic beach place. And I do not regret my decision for a second!
The trip down to San Juan was a little loooong, at first just outside Managua, we were stuck with flat tire already. Later the bus broke down completely. So we all got off waiting at the Panamerican highway (well, it's a nice and cute street not like you'd imagine a huge highway... :D) for an other bus or trustworthy taxi to take as for a reasonable fee to San Juan.
At the end our friend, who was already waiting there for us, was expecting the worst by the time we arrived. We were starving and went to have dinner and for some drinks right after arrival with a bunch of people she had made friends with in the meantime.
Anyway we had a great time on the beach (which is part of the town it seems.. ). The water was so refreshingly cool and you could swim without having dangerous waves... We went for walks on the beach, went out for drinks, walked around, watched the sunset from the beach and our balcony, had absolutely heavenly breakfast and met interesting guys from Canada & the UK... had one beer or rhum or gin tonic too many - I can't really remember anymore :s
We all had so much fun in relaxed way somehow :D
