Marriage
We finally set a date. Sort of. It's actually kind of an amusing story, because Larry and I have never really been too keen on pushing that whole marriage envelope. We get along great, so why rush into it? Of course, that was over 5 years ago, now. Doesn't time fly?
So, Larry and I were talking, and he mentioned (jokingly) that he wanted to get married on a holiday so he would have less trouble remembering our anniversary. I nodded, bided my time, listened. He continued to comment that it would be even better if we were married on a year ending in 0 or 5, so he could easily do the math without having to think too hard. A noble thought, right?
And then opportunity arose. I said, "Well, if you get to pick the year and everything, then I get to pick the holiday."
He agreed. "Okay, go ahead and pic--"
"St Patty's Day!"
"...dammit."
Hahaha, so that settled it. We're either getting married on St. Patty's Day of 2009 or 2010. Perhaps 2009 because Larry really wants on my benefits, and we've likely been missing a lot of benefits of being married. Then again, we'll be gaining the disadvantages of marriage, too, but I'll gladly take them on for him. :D
