Holy...
Note to self: Expect the unexpected.
I don't think there's a single thing on this world that can keep me from watching Battlestar Galactica this season! I picked up the season premiere this morning, and I can't believe how good it was. I mean, there are obviously things I don't quite understand, but hopefully that won't matter much. The preview for the rest of the season is just mind-boggling!
I have some thoughts about the future of the show, though. I've made some personal predictions, and I'd like to get them down here,, just for the sake of having them, and knowing whether I'm right, or completely off-base. I put them below the cut, though, in case there's anyone spoilerish things I might have missed.
1. I think Gaius is going to be much more important to the resistance than anyone realizes. While, it seems to be hinted that he may be a Cylon, I don't think that he is. And, I don't think he's a bad person, either. Then again, I may be a bit biased.
2. I don't think there will be a happy ending for Kara. Ever. Either, the season is going to come to an end and she's going to be dead, or she's going to be very unhappy. They'll make everyone feel all right about her for a while -- make everything seem okay with her, but it won't be. I'm fairly certain about this.
3. Revolt. I see a battle going on between the human Cylons and the mechanical Cylons. I don't know when it will happen, or even if all of the human models will be together for it, but it will happen. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. The Fleet will see that something's come to change, and perhaps harbor the revolting human Cylons. But, in any case, I feel that the mechanical Cylons (I guess that's what they're called) will definitely lash out against the human models, who are now starting to make poor decisions based on trying to become more human.
4. Lee's going to return to Galactica and give up command of the Pegasus. He's going to return to being a soldier, and come to grips that he's just like his father. He's not cut out for command. On a side note, I think that Adama's going to turn the Pegasus over to Sharon. She's become a very strong character, and will be a good asset, if given the command.
I think that's all I came to conclude... I can't remember any other points that might have come to mind. We'll see if they come to pass, though. I could be completely off my mark in every way.
