This picture is in the gallery of photos from my Dad's life I posted on Father's Day, but I get a kick out of it, so I'm reposting it as a solo.
That's me at not quite 20, my Dad at 48, and my brother Kenneth at 17.
As the result of a long and convoluted series of events I'm not going to recount, my folks had sold everything in Florida and invested in a vineyard above Yountville in California's Napa Valley that year. When this picture was taken Kenneth was about to be a freshman at Sonoma State and I was an actor of such talent that I built sets and ran lights for various repertory companies and dinner theatres in the Bay Area. (The "M.C. Grip" on the front of my shirt identifies me as the master carpenter and grip for one such.)
