I realize there are educated racists and there are educated idiots and that there are educated racist idiots, but as a parent and former teacher I'm really upset at the idea of one incorporating his racist idiocy into the education of our children.
The non-reactions of the superintendent and the one parent quoted -- their perception the teacher's error was in not being aware of his surroundings when expressing his opinion -- is equally disturbing.
