Poker is busto

Apr 15, 2011 17:30

It finally happened - the feds busted the 3 biggest poker sites. Online poker in the USA is no more. My money...well I might get it out, or not, who the hell knows. At least all my taxes are paid in full as far as I know, so they can't catch me on that. May need a lawyer soon.

The land of the free indeed.

я читал в новостях, кошмар, там же миллионы игроков, включая крутейших акул, поэтому думаю что деньги вернут

в квебеке, я уже писал, само государство организовало и поддерживает игорный он-лайн сайт, где есть всё, включая  покер

Player pool segregation is a bad bad thing. So this Quebecois site doesn't make me happier one bit.

What do you mean by segregation? According to the race? I am not a specialist, barely know the rules and almost never played. But maybe I will in the future. The quebec site is only open for people living in Quebec, btw. On the bright side, the gambling winnings are not taxable here.

That's what I meant by segregation - separation by geography. Currently, Italians can only play with other Italians, the French with other French players. I believe state of Washington has a similar law on the books. This is not good for poker at all. Beats what the USA did today though, come to think of it.

Perhaps this is done to prevent money laundering and simplify the tax documentation. If a site like that was open to all, then a guy from can easily lose the States can easily lose a million bucks to his alter ego from Thailand :)
