Kal Penn is apparently a big fan of the First State.
The actor best known for his roles on Fox's "House" and the flick "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle" - and, most recently, as President Barack Obama's associate director in the Office of Public Liaison - will speak at the University of Delaware's Mitchell Hall at 7 p.m. May 19.
Many might remember Penn's visit to Delaware last February, when he hit Kelly's Logan House, UD and businesses all over the place to get the word out for Obama.
Some of the content of Penn's talk might sound familiar to anyone who has seen either of the "Harold and Kumar" films. Penn's character, Kumar, obsessively and hilariously rails against the stereotypes and injustices that Asians experience
But Penn's talk on May 19 sounds like it's going to be mostly serious: "Changing The Racial Landscape" deals with Asian typecasting and tokenism in the media.
The event is free and open to the public.
