Class Field Trips
When nearly everyone's mom was at home when the kids got there.
When getting high was swinging on the swingset
When $5 seemed like a million, and another dollar a Miracle.
When your parents took you to McDonalds and you were so cool.
When Toys r Us overuled the "mall"
I want to go back to the time when...
Decisions were made by going "eeny-meeny-miney-moe"
Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!"
"Race issue" meant arguing about who ran the fastest.
Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "monopoly"
Catching fireflies could happily occupy an entire evening
It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends.
Being old, referred to anyone over 20.
The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties.
Nobody was prettier than Mom
Nobody was cooler than Dad
Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better
It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at the amusement park.
Abilities were discovered because of a "double-dog-dare"
Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles.
If you can remember most or all of these, then you have LIVED!!!
Pass this on to anyone who may need a break from their "grown up" life...
so i feel like i'm getting sick. and that can NOT happen...i can't afford to miss work...or school...or halloween & stuff this weekend...semi-formal next weekend...but i feel like crap...i'm sure it's cuz of my lack of sleep...last night i planned to be in bed by around 10...totally didnt happen til after 11:30...things happen...but now after only 5 hours of sleep i can barely function. so i drink pop to stay awake here at work. i dont even really LIKE pop. ugh.
if anyone knows of a good place to get feather boas, let me know!! besides halloween usa, joannes, or party city..lol i know, that doesnt leave much...
yesterday was a relatively good day...DAY, the night wasn't so hot...actually...the morning wasn't wonderful either...i had my philosophy exam...could have been 10 times worse..but...20 times better..i don't see myself getting higher than a C...which is a bummer because i was going to try and get above a 3.5 in all my classes this semester...not gonna happen. and then ok, they totally changed the program plan for my major, and discontinued the computer class that would substitute for my math credit. ok kill me now, i havent really looked over the new plan much, but i am NOT taking a math class!!
after classes yesterday i went shopping at the village w/lauren heidi & the CLC who was super nice!! and ok i love heidi forever times a million for my christmas present :) :) i don't think i can wait that long tho!! haha. then dinner last night at applebees. just in general, can i say that some people need to get. a. clue. GOSH.
i want to go to grand valley & see randi. like, really. i just can't find the time...ever. :(
so today as usual i've got work til this afternoon. then kara and i are going on a boa hunt for a lil bit. our option was wearing a wig or a boa. and im really not into the wig idea...so we'll see what happens!!
i need plans for friday...
after a last minute decision, i'm going to umich on saturday night! it'll be interesting...
i wish i had vacation days to take here at work...but i'm saving them all for christmas time so that i'll be able to get like, 2 weeks off...so blah for that cuz i could really use a day off in the middle of the week...
