Gung Hay Fat Choy!
Today was a relatively interesting day. If it was not one thing it was another at work. I am just amazed still at how well people make it through their daily routines. It was also the day that my boss was to talk to me about the whole telecommuting opportunity. He, sadly, never got around to talking with me too much about it, but he did at least give me the scenarios of what he is thinking for plans. There were three options of what they will do for me as of now.
1. Fly here Monday morning, get a rental car, get a hotel room, and work from here for a week. Leave here Thursday night, go home, and stay there until the following Monday morning. The company would of course pay for travel, lodging, and all incurred expenses.
2. Fly here Monday morning, get a rental car, get a hotel room, and work from here for two weeks. Leave here Friday night, go home, and stay there for two weeks, and then on Monday, do it again. The company again would of course pay for travel, lodging, and all incurred expenses.
3. Fly here Monday Morning, all the same as above.. and leave Friday. Stay home for a week, and do it again.
So basically, work here all month, or two weeks solid, or every other week. I personally don’t know which way they are leaning. I already ruled out the here all month, that just is not an option. I am thinking that the every other week would be a better deal for me. It would feel like less time a way from home, and more of a work week. I don’t know what I would do with a weekend here alone, with out Chris, without my pets, without our movies, games, and family, on top of every week night for two weeks. It just seems like a long time, but I am still not certain. Hopefully tomorrow Mike gets a chance to talk with me about all of this. Either way, come Monday morning, I am providing him with a written, formal, two weeks notice because I need to make sure my ass is covered incase this whole Telecommuting thing does not work out.
So I think thats going to be it for tonight. Chris and I are going to watch “Don’t Forget the Lyrics”.
