Well, so much for that resolution...

Last year, I spent four months stitching Christmas presents for other people. I felt like a factory, just churning out gift after gift. I kinda hated it by the end.

This year, I decided I wasn't going to do that again. I resolved not to stitch a single gift.

Naturally, that particular resolution has gone down the pan because I just enjoy making things for people too much. I've not spent several months on other people this time but I will end up spending a full week. First I made a trivet for Andy and Giza

And now I've made one, and will make another, monogrammed handkerchief for my step-grandfather. Honestly, the man's in his late 80s, I really want to get him something interesting and nice and...he's like 87! It's really an understatement to say I was struggling, until I remembered I had a book of monogram charts and a pair of men's handkerchiefs which have never been taken out of the box.

Here's the first one, I was thinking of shades of green for the other.
