Birthday joy :)
So, I've waited 28 years to be 28 on the 28th...it was good.
Presents included cheques, DVDs, CDs and Hobbycraft vouchers. We'll just have to go visit someone with a Hobbycraft near them! What hardship! One of the possible spending options for part of the cheques is a new TV for my craft room. The one I've got up here is pretty bloody awful by anyone's standards, simply by virtue of being old and cheap.
I asked Gray to just take me out for dinner somewhere. I was thinking the pub. He took me to TGI Friday's...in Coventry! (That's in the region of 30 miles away). Then back to Leicester to see Ice Age 3 in 3D. Supremely fun.
Came back to work today to a pile of work, some of which is done, 35 emails and 4 answering machine messages. I was only away for 2 days...!
In other birthday-related news, the actual party-shaped celebration was on Saturday. It was a lot of fun. People from work came, it was fun, Kerry's little girl Caitlin at one point came into the kitchen and asked for a hug and so got the best hug I could manage and gets extra cuteness points for being so direct. There was a chocolate fountain, that went well on the second attempt, the first attempt was a case of "Caz works out why you should follow the instructions..." and there were balloons on the front door that closely resembled male genitalia, but if anyone has actually got green and orange balls and a blue dick they should consult a doctor as a matter of urgency.
All in all, I survived another trip around the sun and all is well :)
