Can't believe my last post was the one with the pre prom wangst, heh, anyway the Prom was surprisingly good, much better than I thought it would be and much better than the Year 11 one. I did end up forgetting my ID (still got served though, yay!) as well as my camera resulting in no taken by me pics, my friends took quite a few so hopefully I will have some. This wasn't my Prom by the way, but my old school's Prom and it was so nice to see all the teachers again, they all remembered me and were being really nice, most of the people too. I was afraid that I will feel like I don't belong, after all two years is a long time but I didn't even need a drink before I felt like one of them again. It was a lovely feeling, I danced for hours and had so much fun which is all due to the flat shoes I decided to wear, the memory from last time was too strong for me to wear heels again. It was really sad at times, as they showed pics of us from year 8 and played appropriate music with quotes and I can't believe I left two whole years ago. Highlights of the evening included:
  • The head of Sixth Form singing Baa Baa Black Sheep after inhaling helium from the numerous balloons! That was hilarious, I almost felt embarrassed for him.
  • Everyone dancing to the Macarena, haha it was fun!
  • My friend being the only one left on the dance floor after everyone else left in disgust when the DJ played the Crazy Frog song, she danced alone for the entirety of it, the bravery!
  • My old head teacher's dress! OMG it was horrendous, it had the hugest fluffy neckline which looked like it used to be alive at some point, definitely a memorable outfit.
  • The awards were fun, very well organised and everyone that won things got the best presents, thought the Prom King was more surprising than anything, I suspect it was a joke.
  • They played Save the Last Dance omg I died, I could never listen to this song after the season 1 QAF finale without getting all teary, oh the love.
  • Dancing, oh I love dancing.
  • The limo! It was brilliant and white and we all thought that other people couldn't see inside and waved and did random things only to realise that it was fairly visible, no wonder people were staring.
After Prom we went to an after party and as a result I only got an hour and a half of sleep that night, (we went to sleep at about four and woke up at 5! I have no idea why, it was certainly not nice.) But the best thing was that two of my friends read fic including slash, hurray for slashers, we will take over the world one day! It was at around hlaf five that most people were dosing off again but a few were left and we started discussing all sorts of films and tv programmes and such things and somehow we reached inappropriate relationships in films. (No I don't know why I don't use people's names, paranoia I guess, I will use letters from now on)

L: Oh yeah like in LotR I know that Sam and Frodo are meant to be just really close friends but it sure look like more than that.

    Me: *perks up*

M: *whispers at L* Yeah people write fanfic and slash about that.

L: Yeah I've read some, not nice.

M: Oh I read the worst thing *quotes something including Aragorn and Legolas and lover* It was just like eww, they draw you in all unexpected like and then wham!

L: I know! It starts off all innocent and then it turns horrible.

Me: *ded* Um, you know there are warnings and pairing, right? No one is making you read it!

    L: Not always.

    Me: *eyeroll*

L: *ignores me* Yeah like in this episode of Firefly someone said something and then in this fanfic they made it mean something different and I left a review saying how I couldn't believe I read it and someone else said in their review how they hate it when authors make characters act so OOC.

Me: *oh god my friends are a bit like ignorant flamers* *changes subject*

No, they haven't seen the light yet, but there is hope for them still, after all we did discuss Brokeback Mountain.

So I slept a few hours during the day and then went to a birthday party which I had to leave early because I had promised someone else to go out before that. I *really* didn't feel like going out after not sleeping at all the night before, but the night turned out really good. We were going to go home just before two but at the last moment we took a taxi to another club instead and I'd never been there before and it was awesome. So I got home at half three and that made it two nights without sleep, yay! Yesterday just flew past, there was another birthday party and when I got home I spend entirely long reading through the latest hate meme. I have no idea why, it was really lame and quite pathetic and I had hope it will improve but it didn't.

Which brings us to today, hmm that was a long post I still have stuff to say but time to get some lunch now.

Oh and the results of my Sorting Poll really shocked me, why did *no one* thought I am a Ravenclaw? :( Don't I talk about school constantly? Well I don't mind being a Gryffindor if only for the fact that I am neither brave nor a spontaneous risk taker. I have tagged *all* my entries and I am really dull and am surprised you all stand me, glad you do though.
