It's a small world

I know I failed my maths test today. Badly. But am stragely not concerned. In other news, I had an interesting conversation with a friend in my maths lecture (no, that's not why I failed the test) and it turns out she reads and writes fanfiction and knows what slash is. How cool is that. Well I already knew she was reading CSI fic, (she'd mentioned ( Read more... )

Small world, indeed. :))) I wish I found someone like that in my school (no chances at all). Can you believe it, we have an American exchange student and she hasn't heard of fanfiction at all (!!!)........

And now the suggestions:

1)Irresistible Potion by Rhysenn (longish but really tender and touching, PG13, on Schnoogle.com)

2)Gold-Tinted Spectacles by beren_writes (Also really lovely; even longer, though; sequel under way; NC 17 and R versions available)

Both greatly written, with magnificent ideas and language.

Thank you. :)
I was thinking of IP, it's the first fic I ever read and it got me into slash, but it is quite long and I am not sure if she'll like it. Not that I can see how anybody cannot like it, I really need to reread it, it's more than 2 years since I read it.
As for the second one, I haven't read it, will do as soon as I have the time. What pairing is it? So do you think that H/D is what I should rec her?

Lots of people haven't heard of fanfiction :D But I was very surprised at the way she just said, "not slash", considering she didn't know that I know what slash is. It was very cool though.

UL! It's a good idea, but very long and not much slash yet :( But Beneath you has the cherry scene,(I think, god I read these ages ago) and it's happy, I don't think that BW is the best way to start her off, it is just so sad *sobs* But what about that first fic you send Robyn, was it one of Cassie's? Maybe that's a good way to start. Her name is Rachael, and you don't know her. But on Sunday someone from your class strted working with me in John Lewis, I think her name is Emma, but I could be making it up.
