I am so used to American slang, that pants doesn't even make me blink any more. Gotten is pretty bad, but say if you are writing about a British uni, and everything screams US college, I hate it! No one in this country shares bedrooms at uni, NO ONE. :( :(

I feel better now, haha.

And it really doesn't, also researching is fun!

We can do something else, what do you want to do?

Do you remember when we came out of male!Swan Lake screeching 'leather pants!' at each other? And it took me a while to go 'oh it's really strange we just used the American word'.

True! But leather trousers just doesn't have the same ring to it. Leather pants is now a phrase. A phrase of awesome.

Wait, they shared an actual bedroom? I have never heard of such a thing.

Oh yeah, the school thing. I have come across that a few times, but I don't mind it too much, because I can see why it would confuse people.

I don't actually have anything to do, so I don't mind. When/where should we meet?

That is weird, but it's different as it's their choice, I've had to share a living room at Uni, but I don't think compulsory bedroom sharing exists here!

True.

That's great, under the dead tree it is! :D

Sorry to butt in, but I know quite a lot of English people who say gotten. Probably as a result of to much American TV, but it's certainly around in the UK :)
