do those letters flying tube things exist in real life?
YES! (When I worked a supermarket summer job a few years ago, we had to pull out the money out of the cash registers every now and again and put it in pneumatic tubes. It was kinda awesome.)

Oh slashy show of awesome I am so glad you are back.
That's pretty much my review of 2x01. Ha!

I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT DIANA IS EVIL. THIS IS A RED HERRING. *DENIAL*

The fact that google alerts brake the fourth wall is really frightening.
OH MAN. And apparently fandom freaked out like whoa?

NGL, I would take almost any job as long as I had the opportunity to do this. It would amuse me way too much. XD

It was pretty much the highlight of my cashier experience too. :D

Okay. That really is awesome. And I feel really behind on times for not knowing, it's all very Futurama to me. I need to do a serious technology catch up or something (this feels like that time I went from knowing that hovercrafts theoretically exist to holly shit Ron Weasley owns one)

I am pretty sure that is the case, it was set up very similarly to the Peter is evil ending. Still, it totally made me shriek. /o\

It did? With regards to the example I linked to? Where, I have seen no mention of it! Did you see the porn excerpt. So bad, so very bad.

I know. :(( I mean with minor celebrities with a huge online presence, them knowing is pretty unavoidable, but knowing and getting horrible porn in your inbox are two different things. Still, I love them for loling about it, because that's what I would probably do if it was me!

I think it'd be interesting to have it happen if you knew next to nothing about fandom, and to see how you'd take it. I mean, let's say you're in fandom and you suddenly manage to get really famous and years down the line someone forwards you fic about yourself - well, you're probably going to look at that in the best light. But if fanfiction in general is something you're unaware of or know next to nothing about...I don't know, it could be creepy.

Yeah, if you knew nothing about fandom than it would be different, but in the context I referred to these are people with a very heavy internet presence, in which case knowing at least 'of' fandom is pretty much unavoidable. I am trying to imagine how I would feel if I didn't know what fanfic was, but I am finding it hard to do, though I guess it could definitely be pretty creepy! But also a little hilarious, unless it was incest, that would be horrifying.

SHE'S NOT EVIL, SHE'S NOT EVIL, SHE'S NOT EVIL!!

HE IS MY FRIEND TOO.
OMG, YES. Peter just basically admitted his love for Neal, to Moz, and of course as his BFF, Mozzie's going to run to tell Neal about it.

Mozzie was just super adorable all around this episode. His and Peter's double mother hen act, hee!

LOL ANGEL GABRIEL. I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING!

I think that maybe Peter knows she has it, it's just there for safekeeping?

He really did, that entire ep was a love letter from Peter to Neal, who was too messed up from Kate's death to really notice, but that's okay! Peter is patient. And all the Peter and Moz parts were hilarious! The two of them with their secret meetings and nwespaper signals, totally amazing!

LOL ANGEL GABRIEL.
I KNOW! :DDD Those are some cruel parents.

I hope so! I'm thinking this might be one of those moments like Peter's with Kate, where it's like, can we really trust these FBI agents? But then it'll turn out we can, and everything will be okay!

Yes, this is what I think as well! The set up was very similar to that Peter and Kate scene, it just makes no sense at all to suddenly make her evil. Though if she turns out super evil in an awesome way, I could maybe forgive them.

Caffrey and Burke! Burke and Caffrey! Peter and Mozzie's clandestine meetings to talk about Neal! HE IS MY FRIEND TOO. I heart this show so much.

All the pretty shots of Manhattan make me miss it SO MUCH. They make the city look so beautiful.

I have to believe that Diana is not evil. I think that maybe even Peter knows that she has the box and they have some sort of ~plan to use it to find Fowler. Or something. I don't know, but Diana can't be evil!

do those letters flying tube things exist in real life?

Yep! They have them at all drive-thru banks and in some office buildings and at the hospital my mom works at. They're pretty awesome. It's kind of like magic, haha.

I do too! It makes me grin from start till end! So glossy, so slashy, so many impossible but awesome shenanigans!

I have never been /o\ but I really want to go, even though I know the shiny views are not a very real representation.

Now I've calmed down and thought about it, I think that this is the most likely scenario! There is no way she is evil.

It's kind of like magic, haha.
It really is! I can't believe I didn't know! Real life is rpetty amazing sometimes.

I lived in nyc for 8 years and the show is definitely not the most realistic representation of what it's like to live there, but still. So pretty! So shiny! I would have killed to live in the house Neal lives in.

Oh, definitely, but I like the shiny a lot! Sometimes it's perfectly okay to forego realism for aesthetic reasons! Yeah, that house is so amazing. I would be perfectly happy even if it was just Neal's apartment and rooftop terrace, without the poor and rest of house. Perfectly happy! :D

We have one of those at work (pod systems) to send blood samples from A&E. It's uhh.... not very good. I think when the hospital is demolished in the future (the JR) that they will find a whole collection of missing pods.

BUT SHOW. How much love for show? Diana was win, Peter and Mozzie were adorable and I was grinning the whole way through. *clings to the shiny*

You send blood through magcal flying tubes? Amaaaaazing!

That is such a creepy idea, it could make an awesome set up for an episode of Doctor Who or something like that.

I was grinning the whole way through.
I was as well! I don't care how ridiculous the plot can get when watching me brings me this much joy!

Hehe, someone should totally write that fic! :) Sometimes it used to go wrong and our lab was the ejection port for everything in the system. I could have made a fortune on the black market from the drugs!

PRECISELY. And the plot wasn't completely ridiculous - I can see the advantage of hiring someone to try and break your codes.

Wow, so there was a sudden influx of drugs and blood? That's... wow.

Oh, definitely! I didn't mean this episode's plot specifically, just a general observation, as fairly often the plot is a bit silly. But I don't mind at all! :DDD
