Always late to the party, but never underdressed.

This is not a post I was planning on making, not that I tend to plan my posts, only sometimes I do. Anyway. Had a super dull weekend, the best parts were the occasional moments of silence (we are redoing our bathroom, there is constant drilling, CONSTANT, it drives me mad!)

1. This is the last post about Skins, I am ever going to make. I spend an ( Read more... )

Thank you for posting about him, it was totally the foot massager video you posted that made me think OH MY GOD, I NEED MORE OF HIM NOW. And everything I saw/read made me love him more, even though I am so clueless when it comes to anything sport. Am right now dl-ing episode one of his tv show! :DDDD

I think so, but I am going to have a look now. :D

He IS magic. (literally in that one fic I read. Also a vampire)

I have the biggest urge to write about him with ZQ
OHH. DO IT, THAT WOULD BE EPIC. Like, I want to read him it everyone ever, but ZQ would be especially fun.

I saw the first ep/movie, so so awesome! I loved when he pretended he is a Russian reporter and every scene with Paris ever (what does Paris do? Why does he train with him? So many questions!) and made me sad about his old trainer, and even more so about his failure to get an Olympic medal.

Viatcheslav Romanov! Those are some of my favorite bits.

But yeah, I'm used to documentaries having a somewhat happy ending, and him not medalling in Vancouver makes my heart ache.

I just love the fake Russian accent so much. Even the fur thing doesn't bother me, though I know it probably should!

Yeah. :( Is he properly retired now, (I couldn't find actual info on this)? I hope he does become a successful fashion designer!!

I love his entire Russia-love and the fact that he taught himself Russian and whatnot. He's so sharp.

He's not retired-retired, as far as I know, but I do think he's currently making use of his Vancouver-fame to do more professional (and better-paid) shows instead of completing the rest of the skating season, just like Evan is doing. They're both not participating in the World Championships that start tomorrow, for example.

It makes me want to use my Russian knowledge in a fic, which I am seriously not qualified to write. But the shiny compels me.

I see, it's odd that whoever wins Worlds won't actually have competed against the best, but I am glad he is doing high profile things.

Ah, you totally should! My Russian knowledge is not even worth mentioning, it's so bad. (Btw, there's a clip out there of Johnny wishing Russian girls and women a happy 8th of March -- ah, here).

Yeah. Stéphane also decided to not come to Worlds, which made me sad. I'm rooting for the Belgian dude (Kevin van der Perren) and Daisuke Takahashi now.

OMG, that was amazing, thanks for the link! This is the first time I've actually heard him speak it, and he is really good, and also ridiculously adorable in that hat.

I am impressed by his accent! It is so hard for English-speakers to do, and he is so earnest (also, now I also want icons, this is all your fault!)
