Just got a call from the Univ Telethon asking me for money! Haha, I told them about my unemployed status, but ended up giving a £10 one-off gift anyway, after a ten minute phone call. It was the current JCR President, and she does PPE, so I hope she didn't think of me as a complete failure. In other non-fail news, one of the guys that did my course in LSE just informed the whole world using facebook that he got into Harvard Law. Yay, him.
In other, BETTER news, yesterday went to see Matthew Bourne's (I keep writing Matthew Bomer, um) Swan Lake with lauds. It is the modern one with the male swans, and all I knew about it was from seeing the posters in the Tube -- that is to say, nothing and all (though, grown up Billy Elliot dances as the main Swan at the end of the movie) and it was AMAZING. So beautiful and heartbreaking and also hilarious and sensual and very, very gay. Well, there is still a Prince and he is in love with the very male swan. This version of the black swan is a leather-pants wearing guy, this will never not be funny. lauds said that I will come out of the theatre wanting to write Prince/Stranger, but I do not, because there is no need, it is all there already.
