Just finished watching the third part of Generation Kill. I honestly didn't expect to like it so much, I mean, I probably don't understand half of what is going on, I don't agree with what they are doing (both Iraq and war in general), but dear god it is amazing. I just don't understand how in the space of a minute I can be laughing and then holding my breath in fear, then horrified and angry. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. It is so fucked up, all the screw ups, the insanely stupid commanders, Trombley... but it is giving me such an insight into the reality of it all, that I can't help but being deeply moved by it. Will talk a lot more when I do finish it and about my growing love for Brad, Ray and Nate, which can be summed up by a text that
lauds send me a little while ago: "Nate Fick! HIS LITTLE FACE"
Yeah.
I am pretty sure everyone is sick of this meme by now, so I wasn't going to post it, but I haven't done it in a very long time, and just in case someone does have a question. :D
1. The problem with LJ: We all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about one another. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.
OR
2. the old fuck, marry, kill one, because I am fond of it, so give me three names, please!
