What is going on, LJ? Recently, this keeps happening to me! I would reply to a comment, and it wouldn’t show, so I would re-reply, and then much later, both comments appear to be there, it is driving me crazy (also, I suspect, the people, I have inadvertently been spamming). Is it just me, or has this happened to any of you?

Super excited about yuletide , after two years of not participating, this year I definitely will. There are so many fandoms I want to read fic in. It is odd that so many people are talking about recommending Glee, when I feel like it is fairly big already. (Since I posted my Puck/Kurt fic the other day, have been poking around it and read a few really wonderful fics and I’ve been pretty much sold on the pairing.)

Merlin. I saw it last night, but decided to write my thoughts down today, because yesterday all you would have gotten from me would have been capslock and flailing.

The opinions of my flist seem to be divided, on the one hand some people saying that the last episode was the best ever, while others think the second series is really, very awful. Though I see the problems pointed out by those of you in the latter category, I even agree with a lot of your points, my opinion is firmly with the former. I loved, loved, loved the last episode.

Yes, Merlin is treated as an idiot for comic relief, Arthur as a horrible idiot for plot purposes, Gwen as a fickle hussy and Morgana as crazy and selfish.

But. I don’t really care, because they are all wonderful and they take what is mediocre plot and add magic to it. (Yes, I went there)

I think that the development of the Lancelot/Gwen/Arthur love triangle was rushed, and I don’t really think it is possible to fall in love for life in two seconds flat, but I believed the Gwen/Lancelot. Their kiss may have been in the dark, with no sun shining, but it felt real and mutual, and unlike the Arthur/Gwen one, it was clear that this is one kiss that Gwen wanted.

I do feel pretty awful for poor Arthur, but he suffered so beautifully, that was some first class pouting he exhibited. Although, I don’t like the idea that Gwen will love Lancelot for ever, and will only be settling for Arthur until his return. I don’t like that at all.

But at least he’s got Merlin. Aww, their quest was brilliant, from guard distracting, to berry throwing, to rat baiting and wall scaling. Love them. I like that they managed to have an actual conversation, and Arthur confided in Merlin and that the banter is less vicious and more friendly.

Morgana and Gwen were both awesome in this episode, finally an episode where they take action into their own hands, the way they dealt with the captors was clever and brave, Morgana’s scene with Uther true to character, and Gwen was fantastic when playing the King's ward, it helped that Morgana’s clothes looked really amazing on her. Their reuniting hug with Arthur looking all sad in the background, was also lovely.

I guess my OT4 is becoming an OT5, why can't they all just live happily together?

I feel like this post is becoming rather unwieldy, but I did make a list of 100 female characters that I adore, and find it weird to make two posts in one day, so here it is. This list isn't in any order, it is rather tv based, not because I don't read, but because I have a terrible memory and thinking of one tv show makes me think of another one, and most of the books are ones I loved as a child, as I suppose those are the ones that have stayed with me. Some of these are characters that I have loved dearly for many years, others are new additions, some I merely like. But enough with the disclaimers. Here is my list, please feel free to ask any questions.
