It was 10 days later, and Yamada was sitting in Chinen's room, after school, doing his homework. Being who Yamada was, the nurses in the hospital made sure he was comfortable, bringing him drinks and stuff.
He sighed, leaning back against the chair he was in. "Chii..." He closed his eyes, just wanting to take a break from his homework for a minute.
He opened his eyes slowly, and noticed it was dark outside. He looked at his phone, to see what time it was. 2 a.m.?!?! But...your not allowed to have overnight visitors... Yamada looked down, and noticed that his body was covered with a blanket, and he smiled lightly.
He got up, pushing his chair beside Chinen's bed, sitting back in it, he layed his head on the bed. "Chii..." He whispered. "Please wake up..." He took the youngers hand in his, as his eyes closed again.
His eyes fluttered open, as he felt someone poking his cheek. "Yama-chan~" He looked to his side, and saw a smiling Daiki.
"Dai-chan?" He said sleepily. He looked at Chii, and noticed he was holding his hand, blushing slightly.
Ryutaro laughed. "Yama-chan loves Chii~"
"Shut up Ryutaro..." Daiki kissed Ryutaro, which made him blush, and shut up.
"I didn't know you had feelings for Chii." Daiki patted Yamada's head, who blushed.
"No one knows I do...except his mom, who said she could see the love I have for him in my eyes."
"Eh? You really do love him?"
Yamada sighed, laying his head back on the bed, never letting go of the smallers hand. "Yeah..."
Ryutaro felt guilting about teasing him. "Sorry Yama-chan...I was just teasing you, but I know...this must be more hard for you than us now..."
Yamada closed his eyes. "Yeah...I wish he would wake up..." He lifted his head suddenly. "Eh?"
"What is it Yama-chan?"
Yamada blink a few times. "It really...felt like he just squeezed my hand..." He felt it again. "I just felt it again."
"Really? I think he likes hearing your voice...is he doing it when we talk?"
Yamada shook his head. "No...Chii...wake up." He felt the squeeze again. "He did it when I talked.
Yamada looked at the youngers face, and his eyes widened. "Chii!" Chinen's eyes were open, and he looked confused.
"Eh? W-where am...I?"
"Chinen...i'll go get the doctor." Daiki ran out the door.
"Chii...i'm so happy you are awake..."
Chinen didn't say anything else, just layed there, confused. Daiki and the doctor came in. "Ok, i'm going to have to do some test on him, will you three get his parents on the phone, and tell them?"
The three nodded, and Yamada reluctantly let go of the youngers hand, going out with Daiki and Ryutaro.
It was about a hour later, when the doctor came back out, asking if the would come in, just to see if he rememered them. They all went in, JUMP and Chinen's parents.
"Now, Chinen-kun, do you remember any of these people?"
Chinen looked at everyone, staring at a few longer than others. "I..." Yamada noticed him staring at Takaki a little longer. "...don't remember anyone..." Yamada's face fell.
"That's ok. You should get your memory back. You guys can come in, just talking to him, doing stuff you used to, will help him remember faster." They all nodded. "But, I do ask...that you all don't come at once, only a few at a time."
All of JUMP left that day, leaving Chinen with his parents.
The next day, after school, Yamada, Yuto, and Keito went to his room. He looked nervous. "Its ok Chii...we are you friends."
"R-really?"
They all nodded. "I'm Yamada. Thats Yuto, and Keito." He pointed to the other boys, who waved at him.
"Yamada..." Yamada's heart fluttered hearing him call his name. "I'm sorry I can't remember you..."
They all shook there heads, and Keito went beside him. "Its ok Chii...its not your fault."
He smiled. "I know...but I feel bad...you all seem like you are really nice..."
It was a few days later, and Chinen had gotten used to Yamada coming by, even started calling him Yama-chan again, eventhough he still didn't remember him. "Yama-chan..." Chinen giggled. "I win again!" He raised his hands in victory, at winning the board game again.
Yamada sighed. "Your to good at this Chii."
Chinen smiled. "Your just bad at it."
Yamada pouted, earning another laugh from the other. "Meanie..."
"Hey Yama-chan...can I tell you something...?"
"Of course."
"Well...when the doctor asked if I remembered anyone...and I said I didn't....I kinda lied..."
"Eh?" Yamada sat up, looking at Chinen. "You...remember someone?"
Chinen nodded. "Yeah...but I don't know why...I remembered someone who caused me...so much pain..."
"What are you talking about...who do you remember?"
Chinen bite his lip. "Takaki-kun."
Yamada's eyes widened. "What? You remember Takaki?"
Chinen nodded. "Yeah...d-do...you know what..."
Yamada nodded. "Yeah, I know what happened between you two.."
"Well...that night...when I fell...I was going home to talk to him...trying to work things out...but when I got there, I heard some wierd noises going on in his room..."
Chinen walked up the stairs, going to Takaki's room. He heard noises coming from inside, so he quietly pushed the door open. He eyes widened at the sight.
Takaki was naked, with someone else under him...also naked. The guy under him, was panting and moaning his name. "Yuya...faster please...damn...shove it in harder..."
"Yeah...you like it hard don't you,-"
"Then I remember running out of the house, crying...and I fell, hitting my head."
Yamada's eyes were wide. "Do you remember the person he was with?"
Chinen shook his head. "No...I don't."
"Chii...i'm sorry."
Chinen shook his head. "Its ok...I know Takaki broke up with me already...but I just wanted to talk to him. Thats just not going to work though...i'm still kinda scared of him..."
Yamada got up, sitting on the bed beside Chinen, hugging him. "He doesn't deserve someone as sweet as you."
There was a knock on the door, then a nurse coming in. "Y-yamada-kun...its time for visitors to leave now."
Yamada saw Chinen's face fall. "Sorry Chii...i'll be back tomorrow."
Chinen pouts. "But...I feel safe when Yama-chan is here...do you really have to go?" He tightly wrapped his arms around the older boy.
Yamada felt his heart clench, not wanting to leave Chinen. "I'm sorry Chii...i'd stay if I could."
The nurse sighed. "Well...if your quiet, and actually sleep...then you can stay the night."
Chinen's eyes light up. "Really?" The nurse nodded, and left. "Will you stay Yama-chan?"
Yamada smiled. "Of course I will."
After a few minutes, they laid down beside each other. "Yama-chan...can I use you as a pillow."
Yamada laughed lightly. "Sure~"
Chinen moved over, laying his head on the olders chest, who wrapped his arm around him. "Yama-chan...thank you. I...really do feel safe when your here...and I don't feel sad about Takaki when you are here...I feel happy when Yama-chan is here with me..."
Yamada ran his hand through Chinen's hair. "Well then, i'll just have to always be here, so you'll always be safe, ne?"
He waited for the boy to answer, but never got one, relizing that Chinen had fallen asleep.
