old hat, new shoes

I need some new shoes. I've been wearing Chuck Taylors for over three years now and while I have several pairs, they're all worn out. While some people may have driving gloves, I have driving shoes. On my left foot is a hi-top black chuck taylor with two holes in it and Lee (My middle name.) written on the toes. I wear it because it's winter and I didn't want my foot to get cold. But the holes became larger and the fact that it's a hi-top doesn't matter. On my right foot is a black lo-top with red duct tape over the toes. This girl named Zana placed it on there in art class my senior year and I never took it off. Since then, my shoe has been placed in fire (I have a tendency to rest my feet in the flames at a bonfire.) and the duct tape has become one with the shoe. It also bares the name Maggie (My ex-girlfriend.) written on the side and the name Najat written on the other. Najat is a friend of her's who signed the shoe when I visited her in Chicago about two years ago. It also has written on it, in red ink, the words "Rock.", "You Suck", and the initials "WJD". I know this was written by a 6th grade girl in the class I was an aide for in high school. What the initials stand for, I do not know.

So upon inspection, I'm farely sure that I need new shoes. Anyone want to buy me some?
