Tear Down the Wall!

So this picture has really nothing to do with either Ohio or Chicago but it's the only one that isn't of an airplane, a building or the inside of a museum that came out crappy because I don't know how to take pictures and the lighting was bad. Last Friday Zoe and I flew to Columbus, Ohio where we spent a few days with my aunt/uncle/cousins/future cousins in-law. In anticipation of my arrival my aunt bought a bottle of Tanqueray which was of course gone in the two nights of guitar and fire. Spent a good four hours at the USAF museum, which is basically three gigantic hangars full of everything from a copy of the Wright Flyer to the Apollo 15 capsule. Fun times (photo set's here).

We rented a car and drove up to Oberlin, which is a nice few hours in the heartland 'o-merica. The car itself was a Volkswagen Rabbit, which I really liked and cold see myself purchasing one if and when the 200k+ miles on the Honda eventually do it in. Up to Chicago for museums, walking, more museums, more walking, touristy stuff, fantastic Mexican food, friends and a little music.

All in all, not a bad way to spend some time. Now it's too hot in Portland but I've already managed to see a punk show after the flight. Rawk.
