Title: Bonds of time
Pairing: yamajima friendship and yamachii
Rating: PG
Notes: for mtfanatic because it’s yamachii. This story is fictional, partially inspired by yamajima’s insistence on having been twins in a previous life and a weird vision/dream [product of overactive imagination I'm sure].
Bonds of time prologue Bonds of time ch.1 Bonds of time ch.2 Yuto was having a very strange dream…
He was wearing the clothing of an era long past, it was familiar…
He spotted familiar faces, it was a wedding…but whose?
Then he saw the embarrassed face of the girl, he gasped…it was Yama-chan.
The groom was Chii but those weren’t their names not here…
He searched for the father of the bride; he nearly fainted when he recognized Daiki. Who from Jump was here?
A curtain moved he glimpse the face of the woman who must be the mother…Yabu? What the hell? She saw him and whipped a fan in front of her face. He…no she seemed embarrassed at being caught. He knew her…it was his mother…
Wait, Yabu was his mother? That made Daiki his father so Yama-chan was his sister? No his twin sister. They were twins? This was weird…no wonder they were so close now like twins…
Chii smiled at him and mouthed ‘Thank you…’ he nodded slowly…
Jump really was a family?
The man near Daiki was sitting really close and looked at Yama-chan with almost a maternal pride. He bit his lip as he recognized him too…Takaki? He didn’t see anyone else…
It made sense of some of the relationships in Jump now…he realized he was alone. He wasn’t married…he hadn’t gotten married. He wondered why…he didn’t know. He didn’t know it he wanted to know….
The dream changed, Chii was pacing…nervous…
He sat scared himself …
Daiki kept glancing at the curtain.
He heard Yama-chan scream…he was in pain…
Yabu’s voice…it was a girly voice from when they were juniors but he still recognized it. There was fear in her voice…
Yama-chan screamed once more and a fainter cry was heard behind the curtain. An unfamiliar, yet familiar voice was heard behind the curtain, “Naoki-sama…come. Akiko is weak. You have a son but she might not last the night. “
Yuto was nearly floored, no not Yama-chan…it was then he knew that she would die….
Chii was in tears as he went behind the curtain. He begged her to stay with him; ‘he loved her and needed her. Their son needed her…’
He heard Yama-chan gasped, ‘I’m sorry…I love you…I’ll see you in our next life…’
Yama-chan was gone and Chii was sobbing. He entered the curtain his mother, Yabu was crying in the corner cradling her only grandchild. Daiki and Takaki followed him inside. His mother and his nephew were wailing. He felt as lost as Chii did he’d lost his twin…his other half…he was alone…
He woke crying…he was afraid if he let Chii and Yama-chan be together he’d lose them both and be alone again. He knew Chii would die from the loneliness and he couldn’t comfort him. The grief would kill them all…he had to deny them the love they felt to save them all…
He prayed they would forgive him but he didn’t want to be the only one left…
He forgot that this time Yama-chan couldn’t die in childbirth…he knew it wasn’t just a dream. No one would believe him if he spoke of this; bonds were complicated things but now he understood things better. Why he was given this flashback he didn’t know he just had to prevent it from happening again…
His greatest fear was being alone…dying alone…now he knew why, it was a remnant of a past life….
